Christmas at the Barn Tablescape

Welcome to my Christmas Table, this year we are celebrating at the cutest red barn!

This is what I think of when imagining all Christmas tree farms! After all - they all look like this on Hallmark movies, don't they?!!

I am joining 14 other table stylist in our Christmas Tablescape Hop today!  Once again, Rita from Panoply has gathered a group of us together to celebrate the season the way we like to best - with pretty tables!!

All the links to the other blogs are at the end of my post - Please show everyone some love by visiting and commenting on your favorites!!  We are all thrilled with an acknowledgment of our creations.

🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄

We are out at the barn this Christmas with lots of evergreens.

These plates are from Hobby Lobby, I bought the small plates early - thinking I could pair them up with some base plates that I had from my stash.

Well, that didn't work!

Of course by  the time I decided I wanted to go back and get the dinner plates that coordinate, it was slim pickings.

Spring Sprouts New Life Table

Welcome to Corner of Plaid and Paisley where signs of spring are sprouting up here in Ohio.

I am happy to be participating in our Spring Tablescape Hop organized by the wonderful Rita of Panoply!  There are 19 wonderful table stylist participating in our hop today with a mix of Easter and Spring Tables.   All of the links to these inspirational tables will be at the end of my post for you to enjoy.

My table is all about the new growth of plants just popping up all over the gardens showing sure signs of Spring. Here in Ohio, we are hoping that the little bit freezing weather we will still get will not hurt their growth.

These Tete-a-Tete Minature Daffodils are my favorite spring flower because they are one of the first to sprout.  I used lunch bags that I cut a zig zag edge across the top and then wrapped the flower pots and tied it with a little yellow gingham ribbon.  Greenery and several cute little ducks are tucked in between the flower pots.

You may notice that my table is not in my usual setting.  This table is at my daughter's house.  I too, am in a state of new growth as I am in the process of starting a new chapter in my life and I will be moving soon.  Since I have not moved my dishes yet,  I was a little limited to what I had available to me to set this table.  I did purchase the plates new at HomeGoods about two weeks ago.

I liked uniqueness of the wood on just a portion of the plate and the leafy motif on the rest of the plate.

The loosely woven rattan placemats along with the round  greenery charger mats remind me of the state of the way our garden beds look now - sparse and full of twigs waiting for new growth.

The button loop napkin rings hold double sided napkins showing more of the striped side on top of a subtle green checked table cloth.
Perfect for a spring gathering of girlfriends for a light lunch and each guest goes home with a little wrapped pot of daffodils!

Now are you ready to see some more beautiful Spring or Easter Tables?

Broom Parking - Halloween Tablescape

Our tablescaping group has been busy pulling out the stops for a scary good time with our blog hop!

Much thanks to Rita from Panoply for pulling us all together and organizing our hops!  All of the links to the participating table stylist's blogs are listed at the bottom of my post.  Please give them some love as these tables take a lot of time and effort to put together for you to enjoy.

🧹🧹🧹🧹🧹🧹🧹🧹🧹🧹

I am all set for a gathering of witches to stir up some Halloween hijinks!

I was inspired by this tablecloth I purchased from HomeGoods a couple of weeks ago.  I just loved the playfulness of all brooms, hats and potion bottles.
I used a layered setting of black square placemats topped by natural loose woven round mats under my plate stack.  Since my table cloth is a bit busy I kept the place settings simple.  The white pumpkin plates are from Kirklands this year.
Every Halloween I pull out these hobnail goblets - I just love the texture to them.  These were purchased many moons ago on clearance at Kmart after Halloween - one of the best purchases I have made - they have been used over and over again!

The little standing witch's brooms are from At Home.  I am sure they are probably popular with the Harry Potter crowd - but I thought they were just the thing to go with my tablecloth.

This big witch hat with the books centerpiece was from At Home as well.  I added some of my home made potion bottles to hold some necessary ingredients for a good elixir.

Now it is on to see what our other tablescapers have concocted for their Halloween tables!!
