We are celebrating the Fall Season with our tablescape group!

I revel in the changing colors we get here in Ohio this time of year.

Fall Tablescape - Autumn Gnome - Blog Hop 2022

Welcome to my fall table with my little Gnome friends!!

I am participating in the Fall Tablescape Blog Hop hosted by Rita from Panoply.

All of the links to the other talented table stylists will be at the end of this post for you to get lots of fall inspiration from!
🍁🍂🍁🍂🍁🍂🍁🍂
I wanted to do a table with lots of autumn colors since we put on a beautiful foliage show every fall, here in Ohio.  I must have been in a quirky mood on my trip into Hobby Lobby when I picked up these cute little Gnome plates. Just so you know - I truly am not a huge gnome lover and do not have gnomes all over my house!!
But these plates do make me smile!!  And I had just purchased a new gnome stamp set from Stampin' Up! and I just thought that these would be perfect for each other, so in the cart they went.
I pulled out one of my favorite paisley tablecloths, full of yellows, oranges and rusts with a grey base to use with these fun plates.  Next out of my stash was the very textured dyed seagrass placemats.

The orange/rust textured border plates I purchased this year along with the Gnome plates at Hobby Lobby.
The twig flatware has been around for a while, I believe these are from World Market about 8 to 9 years ago. The napkins were purchased at my favorite store in Amish Country - called the Peddler.  They were having a 50% off of all linens a couple of weeks ago - I didn't even have the plates yet - but with my love for plaids, I knew I would be able to put them to good use!
I gathered up my bark candles, mushrooms (which I used previously - here) and a mish mash of old faux fall foliage and two little gnome candles I picked up at HomeGoods last week.  After fiddling around with them for a bit I came up with this arrangement in an old bark tray for my centerpiece.

As I mentioned above, I had just purchased the Kindest Gnomes stamp and die set from Stampin' Up! so I made some little favors to go with the place settings.
I used the Peekaboo Treat Bags, and the Gingham Cottage paper for my favors.
I decorated my tags with some gnomes that I colored with my Stampin' Blends and added a sunflower for the girl gnome and a leaf for my boy gnome.  These are just big enough to fit about 8 Hershey Kisses and have a gusseted bottom so that they stand on their own.

This table was all about the colors and the leaves to honor our beautiful seasonal nature show when all the trees start changing colors here.  It is my favorite time of the year - when things start to cool down, the air is crisp, the smell of campfires and s'mores linger and the talk of football stirs the conversations! So I tried to carry some of that through to my sideboard as well.

As promised, here are all the links to more Fall Tablescapes for you to enjoy!
I hope you can find sometime to sit and relax and enjoy looking at each of these tables and get lots of inspiration for your fall decorating.

Nuts About Squirrels

We are Nuts About Squirrels around here!!

I loved playing with these adorable squirrels.  Since my dog, Lucy's favorite pastime is chasing squirrels I had to get this stamp set just for her sake!!   I just kept going with this stamp set making several different versions.

Dog Days of Fall - A Fun Fall Table

Welcome to my fall table full of K9 fun!
This table is part of Chloe Crabtree from Celebrate & Decorate's  Fall Tablescape Blog Hop.
At the end of this post will be the links to all the other talented table stylists with their inspiration for this fall season.  Be sure to click on the other links and follow along for lots of autumn goodness!
Mums, cornstalks, leaves, apples,  pumpkins and ornamental cabbage are some of my fall favorites!
But who can resist a few dogs in sweaters and plaid shirts thrown in with the autumn mix?!
I haven't been out much in the last 7 or 8 months, but I did travel over to my daughter's house to see my brand new little grandson, Quinn!!  There just happens to be a Hobby Lobby smack in the middle of the road trip to her house, and that is where I picked up these fun fall plates
I find shopping not to be fun these days - so the rest was stuff I had and a few goodies from the grocery store for my centerpiece.  I think the mum is a bit large for my table- but hey, I didn't want to cut it back!
I made some little doggie favors with my Stampin' Up! Autumn Goodness wheelbarrow die and the doggies from the Pampered Pets Designer Series paper.
My Lucy wanted to get in on the act - but she wasn't particularly fond of the bow.
I honestly give Mary from Home is Where the Boat Is and her pups a lot of credit because they make photo sessions look easy!!  And it is not for me and Lucy!!
She is half St. Bernard and half Golden Retriever (although she looks more like a Newfoundland) and when she doesn't want to do something- she just lays down.  Then there is no moving this big dog once she lays down!  But she loves the cooler weather that fall brings and she sure brightens our days with her antics.

🍂🍁🍂🍁🍂🍁🍂🍁🍂🍁
Here are all of the links from all of our fabulous tablescapers- please enjoy the hop!

🍂🍁🍂🍁🍂🍁🍂🍁🍂🍁

I hope you have a beautiful and fun fall!!
Stay safe, take care!

Plaid or Plain? - Part 2

Welcome to my second installment of Plaid or Plain?  This one using the Beautiful Autumn Bundle.
I love these tiny little detailed leaves, some are from the Gilded Autumn Specialty Designer Series Paper and some are stamped but both are cut with the cute little Autumn Punch Pack.
🍁🍂🍁🍂🍁🍂🍁
The first card uses a Soft Suede card base with a Whisper White layer that has been run through the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder. Then I flicked tiny amounts of Just Jade and Crumb Cake ink on with my Water Brushes to add those small speckles to the texture.
I stamped some brown leaves out with Soft Suede Ink on Crumb Cake cardstock and punched them out with the new leaf punches in the Autumn Punch Pack.   The acorns, rust leaves and jade leaves are punched out of the one of the beautiful sheets in the Gilded Autumn DSP.

Here is a tip when cutting a small image from some of the DSP.  Cut the images apart so that you don't punch into another image.  Then use a sticky note to hold it while you punch!  That makes it easy to line that little piece up with your punch.

The sentiment is stamped in Soft Suede ink on Whisper White cardstock, cut with one of the Ornate Frames Die and popped that up with some dimensionals.  I tied a double bow with Linen Thread and added it with a glue dot.

🍁🍂🍁🍂🍁🍂🍁

The second card uses one of the softer plaids from the Plaid Tidings 6X6 designer series papers.
I started with a Soft Suede Cardstock card base, a mat layer of Cinnamon Cider Cardstock and then the layer of the plaid dsp.

Next, I stamped out a frame from the Framed for You stamp set on Crumb Cake Card Stock and cut the frame out using the Layering Squares Dies and adhere it with liquid glue.  Using the gorgeous Gilded Autumn DSP and the Autumn Punch pack - I punched out some of the leaves and acorns from the dsp and used dimensionals to pop those up.

The sentiment is from the Gather Together stamp set, stamped in Soft Suede ink on a piece of 5/8th" by 2 1/2" strip of Crumb Cake cardstock then punched at each end with the Lovely Lables Pick A Punch to get those scalloped ornate ends.  I popped the sentiment up with dimensionals as well.

Top it all off with a double bow tied in Linen Thread and adhered with a glue dot.

🍁🍂🍁🍂🍁🍂🍁

Both of these cards are perfect for staying in touch with friends that we have not been able to visit with.

Autumn Goodness - Plaid or Plain?

The new Autumn Goodness Bundle is such a beautiful set to use for creating cards for the fall season.
I made two cards using the same stamps and dies just different backgrounds - you tell me - Do you like the Plaid or the Plain???
🍂🍂🍂🍂🍂🍂🍂
The plaid card uses the Plaid Tidings 6" X 6" Designer Series Paper along with Just Jade and Cinnamon Cider Card stock.
I used a piece of Shimmery White Cardstock, Pool Party and Cinnamon Cider Ink  and my Water Painters to make the background.  On another piece of Whisper White Card stock I stamped the two images with Cinnamon Cider ink and colored in my corn stalks and harvest fruits and vegetables with my Stampin' Blends.  Both images were cut with the coordinating dies and popped up with dimensionals.  The sentiment is stamped in Cinnamon Cider, cut with the Ornate Frames die and popped up as well.
Here are the supplies I used for the plaid card:

🍂🍂🍂🍂🍂🍂🍂
For a little more sophisticated look I used a more muted color palette.
This one uses some texture for more interest.  I used a Soft Suede cardstock base as well as a layer of Soft Suede cardstock run through the new Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder to give it just a little bit of texture.  There is a small layer of Mint Macaron, then the Very Vanilla background.  The corn stalks and harvest fruits and vegetables are stamped in Cinnamon Cider ink, then colored in soft tones with the Stampin' Blends and cut with the coordinating dies.  I popped up both images with dimensionals.
These are the supplies I used for this card:

🍂🍂🍂🍂🍂🍂🍂
So are you a plaid lover or do you like a more sophisticated look?
As you can tell from the name of my blog that I love plaids - so it is no wonder that one of my favorite things in this Holiday Mini Catalog is the Plaid Tidings DSP!!
It has a wide variety of plaids in it so it can be used for many different occasions.
Look for another installment of Plaid or Plain coming soon!!

Fall Leaves Tablescape

It's that beautiful time of the year when the leaves start changing colors here in Northeast Ohio.
My table is a tribute to the gorgeous colors we enjoy so much every Autumn.
My fall leaves table is part of a fabulous Fall Tablescape Blog Hop hosted by Chloe Crabtree of Celebrate and Decorate.  There will be 4 or 5 new tables up each day all week long by a group of very talented table stylists.  The links to the other blogs are listed at the end of this post and will be updated daily throughout the week.  There will be lots of inspiration for you to draw from for you Autumn decorating.
As you can see from these photos, I do love any shade of brown, tan, rust, umber, mahogany, mocha, chocolate, cinnamon, coffee, pecan - Wait!  somewhere I went from brown colors to food- you know where my mind is!!  On that bag of dark chocolate Kit Kat Bars I am trying not to get into!!!
But I digress - back to the table and it's colors.
This table is all in creams and shades of browns with lots of texture.
I used a random leaf print table cloth, nubby cotton and jute placemats, burlap chargers,  a light mocha dinner plate, snuck in just a bit of plaid with the salad plate, and an ivory acorn/leaf sculpted rim dessert plate to top off my plate stack.
What was I missing?  Polkadots and stripes of course!!!
So I made a little nut favor - because - nuts seemed to go with the acorns and plus they are brown!!! Stampin' Up! just happens to carry brown polka dot pillow boxes.  I added the acetate window, some die cut leaves and a pretty tan bow to the box.
To get the stripes into the picture, I used a cream colored napkin with the light mocha stripes.
Now, I think I have enough different patterns going on!
But apparently not enough to scare off my little chipmunks!!
My little grandson is in love with Alvin and the Chipmunks these days - so I thought these little guys would be appreciated by the three year old!

Here are the links to all of the blogs participating in this week's hop:

Friday

I hope you get a chance to stop by all of these wonderful blogs to see many more beautiful versions of a fall table.  I bet most of them have more than just brown in theirs!!!

And I want you to take note - there were no pumpkins involved in this table!
I so badly wanted to stick some in somewhere, but I had challenged myself to set a fall table with not a single pumpkin!

So far we are having a beautiful fall, I hope you are as well.
