Snail Mail - Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop - January 2021

Welcome to the Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop.    I am Ann Krucek, from Ohio, USA and I chose the fun Snail Mail DSP and the Snail Dies to feature today.

The Stampin' Dreams is a international group of Stampin' Up! enthusiasts who love to share their ideas. This month's theme is anything new.

This just seems so relevant with all the issues we are having with the post office in this part of the woods!  We are always happy to receive something fun in the mail and this set is just the answer!!
The Designer Series Paper with this set is just adorable and I know I will be forever using the Happy Mail enclosed stamp on a lot of my envelopes!
I used the Rectangular Postage Stamp Punch for the cute little postage stamp shape, this punch compliments this suite perfectly.

🍄🍄🍄🍄🍄🍄🍄🍄🍄🍄🍄🍄

So I wanted to create something with just the cute little mushrooms.  I have a friend who tends to get a little wound up about things - so I thought this mellow out card would be the perfect thing - it's fun and a bit quirky - she would appreciate the whimsy in it.
I hope you enjoyed my cards using the Snail Mail DSP and Snail Dies.
As always, my store is open 24/7- just click on my store front in the column on the right.

Now on to all the other ideas and inspiration!
Here is a list of all the other wonderful bloggers showing off their projects,
please give them some love and leave comments - we love to share when we get love back!!

Pampered Pets Stamp Set and Designer Series Paper

I have seen so many cute cards using the Playful Pets Suite, that I had to think out of the box to come up with something a little bit different.

I paired the Pets Die with the fence from the Autumn Wheelbarrow Dies to put with my pup! I also cut out 4 hearts with the Dog Builder punch, put a little glue on either side and placed them back to back at the ends of my bow.

🐈🐶🐈🐶🐈🐶🐈🐶

For my cat loving friends used the grumpy cat from the DSP.  There is no die for this one- so I used my Brother Scan and Cut to cut him out- but he can easily be fussy cut as well.

I paired this up with the Layering Circle Dies and the Playful Alphabet Dies.  You can't tell from this photo that well, but I used the new Foam Adhesive Sheets with the letters to make them pop out.  These are super easy to use - just peel off the one side of the adhesive sheet of foam, stick some card stock on the sheet and run it through you die cut just as you would a plain piece of card stock and it cuts through the foam as well.  Then you have a nice thick, foam layered letter- just peel of the adhesive on the back and stick them on!

🐈🐶🐈🐶🐈🐶🐈🐶

I liked the Playful Alphabet with the Foam Adhesive Sheets  so much I used them again on my Crazy Cat Lady Card!

The lady is from the Senior Years Stamp set, I fussy cut her and colored her with my Stampin Blends. The cats are cut from the Playful Pets DSP.  The purple background paper is from the 6"x6" Brights Designer Series Paper.  This card kind of drives me crazy because I normally like to mat my cards evenly and to have that cat hair DSP short and have the Y hanging off is not my usual game - but I think it added to the craziness!!

Here are the main tools I used to build these cards:

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

Ordering Stamp Sets and supplies is super easy by just clicking  on my storefront on the right column anytime - I am open 24 hours a day!

Any orders over $35 that use my hostess code (found at the top of the right column) will receive a sampler pack of current 6" X 6" Designer Series Papers (approx 12-15 sheets).  This will be a nice variety of some of  the paper that is available to purchase now - so that you can see how beautiful our DSP really is!!

Any orders over $150 will ALSO receive Stampin' Up's 10% back in Stampin' Rewards - you will choose that right on your order!

I would love to be your connection to your creativity.

Nothing's Better Than - Stampin' Dreams June Blog Hop

Welcome to the Stampin' Dreams June Blog Hop!
I am Ann Krucek, from Malvern, Ohio, USA.

I have created some fun projects from the Nothing's  Better Than Stamp Set. Since I am a Chocolate lover, this bundle was a no brainer for me- it went on my list  of must haves immediately.
🍪🍪🍪🍪🍪🍪🍪🍪🍪🍪🍪
The first card uses the In Good Taste DSP along with the Mason Jar Shaker Domes to hold some of those adorable chocolate chip cookies from the Nothing's Better Than Bundle.
I added a bit of ribbon on the jar from the Playful Pets Trim Combo Pack.
🍪🍪🍪🍪🍪🍪🍪🍪🍪🍪🍪
The mini pizza boxes are perfect for a single cookie favor,

I found these Mrs. Fields Cookies at the Dollar Tree - they come individually wrapped with three in the box.
This is where I got my color inspiration from as well.
The red stripe paper is from the Play Pets DSP.  I am loving the new In Color - Cinnamon Cider - I used both the ink and the Stampin' Blends for the tag.
🍪🍪🍪🍪🍪🍪🍪🍪🍪🍪🍪
The last card I made is the window of a Chocolate Store.
I used the Brick & Mortar 3D embossing folder and then brushed a little Whisper White ink over the Read Red Cardstock for the building wall.  The shelves are lined with the a little strip of the Square Vellum Doilies.  The awning is a piece of retired DSP.

I hope you enjoyed my cards and favor!

Now on to the links for the hop - just click on the InLinkz below and they will all pop up!
You will be able to check out all of the other clever ideas from everyone else.

Music From the Heart Masculine Cards

Hi All!
I have been working on some masculine cards made from the Music From the Heart stamp set.

These are for the Rock-n-rollers in your life!

  • The base is a standard card base in Night of Navy 5 1/2" X 8 1/2" scored at 4 1/4" and folded in half
  •  a layer of the 6x6 DSP  - 4" X 5 1/4"
  • a rectangle of Seaside Spray - 3 1/2" X 4 1/4"
  • and then the Stamped rectangle of Whisper White  - 3 1/4" X 4"
  • I stamped the guitar first in black ink
  • Stamped the splotches with some of the Painted Poppies ink spot stamps in Blueberry Bushel and Seaside Spray ink.
  • stamped and fussy cut the keyboard and applied with dimensionals
  • stamped the notes in black ink
  • used a die cut for the sentiment - had to run it through twice to shorten the length and applied with dimensionals  -** Sorry - forgot to put the die on my supply list *used All Dressed Up Die
  • added a few silver Metallic Pearls

🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸

Here is a similar card just changed up a bit!

I used the Stitched Nested Labels for this one- and three colors for the ink spots.

I hope you know someone who Rocks!!!

Spring Card - Kre8tors Blog Hop

Welcome to Kre8tors Blog Hop April 2020 - Spring Theme!

I am Ann Krucek, coming to you from Ohio where we have been hunkered down for a month now.
I am so thankful that I have my Stampin' Up! family to help us through these crazy times!

Wanting to make something bright and cheerful lead me to the cute little flowers in the Grandma's House Set for my Spring Card for this Blog Hop.

Using the masking technique, I stamped out a piece of Whisper White with rows and rows of the flowers and colored them with my Stampin' Blends.  Then I used those same blends and a ruler and made my own striped paper on Whisper White Cardstock.

This gate fold card ties with the fun, bright Daffodil Yellow Ruched Ribbon.
The Highland Heather piece is from the Stiched So Sweetly Dies.
The Label Me Lovely Punch was used for the Whisper White shape stamped with the flowers.

and I lined the inside sides of the card with some bright yellow gingham check paper.
I have used this sentiment a lot lately - it just seems appropriate for the times! It is from the Positive Thoughts stamp set.

This card is sure to brighten someone's day!

Next up is Alexandra Rauf

Witty-Cisms Cards

One of the cutest and easiest stamp sets in the Stampin' Up! January- June 2020 Mini Catalog is the Witty-Cisms Stamp Set.

There are 7 cute images with clever sentiments - along with 2 additional sentiments to make a card for just about any fun occasion.  These are just two out of the set!

🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓

When I looked at the  strawberry stamp - I immediately thought of gingham paper and scalloped edges.  So I got out one of my favorite dies - the scalloped edge die - from the Stitched Be Mine set.
I cut two Whisper White long narrow scalloped pieces to add to the sides of my Red Gingham piece going the length of the card - 5 1/2".  A Whisper White scalloped circle is layered with a Call Me Clover Circle and then topped with the stamped and colored white layer that was punched out with the Label Me Lovely Punch.  I forgot to put the Black Momento ink on my supply list - sorry!
But you always want to stamp with the Momento Ink when coloring with your Stampin' Blends- so that the ink does not smear or run.  I colored my Berry with both the Light and Dark Real Red Stampin Blends and the Dark Shaded Spruce Stampin Blends.  I also colored a piece of the Whisper White Crinkle Seam Binding Ribbon with Dark Real Red Stampin' Blends, then used that with a piece of white ribbon together to tie a little bow.  I topped the card off with a few Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels.
The Red Rhinestones are being offered as one of the new Freebie Items in the New Sale-A-Bration items in the 3rd Release of Sale-A-Bration Items
There is one week of Sale-A-Bration left - if you want to take advantage of these deals!

🌮🌮🌮🌮🌮🌮🌮🌮🌮🌮🌮

For those of you who enjoy Taco Tuesday - I did a Taco Witty-Cisms card!
This one is my favorite!
I knew I wanted bright colors with my Awesome Taco - so I went with Real Red for the base, then a layer of Call Me Clover.  For the Crushed Curry Layer  - I ran it through the Coastal Weave 3D Embossing folder and then used a 1" circle punch to clip off the corners.

I could not find the right patterned paper I wanted to use for the tag - so I made my own!
I took a piece of Whisper White Cardstock and drew stripes on it just using a ruler and several different Stampin' Blends.  I cut the tag shape out using the Bonanza Dies and punched a piece of  Gorgeous Grape from the Label Me Lovely Punch for the next layer.
The sentiment is cut with a circle from the Stitched Shapes Dies with Whisper White card stock  then stamped in black Memento ink so that I could color in my taco with Light and Dark Daffodil Delight, Light Pumpkin Pie and Dark Shaded Spruce Stampin Blends.

To finish the card off I tied a bow with the Crushed Curry Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon and added purple rhinestones to the corners.

As I mentioned above - this is the last week for all of these Sale-A-Bration deals.  With every $50 purchase you will be able to choose  a Sale -A-Bration item free!

If you order more that $35 and  use my host code above in column on the right - you will receive a sampler packet of  6" X 6" Designer Series paper from me as an extra bonus!  If you are ordering more that $150 - do not use my host code and you will receive your own Stampin' Rewards from Stampin' Up!
That is on top of the Sale-A-Bration items!

This is also a great time to sign up for Paper Pumpkin - the all inclusive monthly kit!  You will receive Sale-A-Bration deals with your pre-paid subscription as well.
Just hit my Shop with Me 24/7 button in the column on the right to place an order!
Thank you!!!

💙💚💛💜
In these uncertain times stay safe, we all need to get through this together.
Hopefully, sunnier days are ahead.

Easter - Stampin Dreams Hop

Don't we all need a sweet little bunny to make us smile these days?
We are sharing Easter Projects today on our Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop.

I wanted to create something kind of soft and sweet.  So I pulled out the bunny from Fable Friends.
The sky was done with Seaside Spray Cardstock and Whisper White ink and a sponge dauber.
I love the softness of the clouds with this technique.
I colored my bunny with Light Soft Suede, Ivory, Light Pumpkin Pie and Light Calypso Coral Stampin' Blends.
I used the Garden Gateway Dies for the fence, arch and vines.
The grass and flowers are from the Special Day Dies.
The background mat and some of the flowers are from the Pleased As Punch DSP.
🐇🐇🐇🐇🐇🐇🐇🐇.
So just like my bunny, you can hop from Blog to Blog looking at Easter inspiration!

Spring Ducklings Card and Box

Spring is just around the corner, and it could not come fast enough here!
These little ducklings are sure to put a smile on some one's face!
🐥🐥🐥🐥🐥🐥🐥🐥
These favors are from my Spring Tablescape that I did last week - the full post can be seen here.
and promised the instructions on how to make them.

So I wanted to make good on that promise, although I am a little later than I had hoped.
I have been having connectivity issues with the internet lately, making editing photos and writing posts very frustrating.  But I got a good day today - so I am trying to play catch up!

These little favor boxes are easy to make.

  • The  bottom of the box is a 6" x 6" square of So Saffron cardstock scored at 2" on all 4 sides.
  • I stamped the little flowers randomly on the cardstock next, using Crushed Curry ink and the little triple flower stamp from the Welcome Easter Stamp Set.
  • Then I cut along the score lines just up to the 2" line on each corner - turning the piece each time,

this way you only have one piece on a side folded in so that the sides don't get too bulky.  I folded over each side to form the box bottom and secured it with liquid glue.
🐣🐣🐣🐣🐣
  • The top is a 4" X 4" square of Smoky Slate cardstock scored at 1" on all 4 sides.
  • I stamped the stripes on the square using the staff stamp from the Music From the Heart Stamp Set and Gray Granite ink.
  • Then I cut along the score lines just up to the 1" line on each corner just like the bottom of the box. Fold over each side and secure with liquid glue to form the lid.
  • The tag is the smallest duckling from the Fable Friends Stamp Set.  I cut my ducks apart!  Yep!  took the scissors to my stamp and cut the little duck off from the other two ducks - I can always put them back together at any time!
  • Stamped the duckling with black Memento ink, on Whisper White Card stock, then cut with the smallest stitched circle from the Stitched Shapes dies.
  • I colored the duckling with Light Daffodil Delight, Dark Daffodil Delight, and Light Pumpkin Pie Stampin' Blends.
  • Happy Spring from the Fable Friends Set is stamped in Grey Granite Ink on So Saffron Paper and cut with the oval die from the  Mini Curvey Keepsake die.
  • They are tied on with the Metallic Baker's Twine from the Sale-A-Bration offerings - (sorry, no longer in stock)

🐤🐤🐤🐤🐤🐤🐤🐤🐤
I took this thought one step further and made a card to match the box.
It uses pretty much all the same things, I  used the scalloped edge die from the Be Mine Stitched Framlits Dies to cut the top and bottom of the So Saffron strip across the middle and then I cut two narrow Whisper White pieces for either side of the Smokey Slate piece.  The sentiment is from the Timeless Tulips Stamp Set with one of my go to sentiment dies -sorry, it is retired- from the Petals and More Thinlit  Dies. The yellow sequins are from the same Sale-A-Bration offering with the Metallic Twine that is no longer in stock.
🐥🐥🐥🐥🐥🐥🐥🐥🐥🐥🐥🐥

Sale-A-Bration is still happening until the end of March - so there is still time for you to pick up some great freebies.  There are several that are that have sold out - like the Bee Paper and the Metallic twine I used in this post - but there are some great new additions as of March 1st - including some great floral foil paper!  All of these Sale-A-Bration items are as supplies last.

Hit my shop with me button and take a look at all that is available in my shop.  If you place an online order with me for more than $35 and use my Hostess Code up in the top right column, I will send you a selection of  6" x 6" Designer Series paper.  If you spend more than $50 before the end of the month you will receive a free Sale-A-Bration on top of the DSP from me!  If you spend more than $150 - don't use my Hostess code and choose your own free items at the end of your order - on top of the free DSP from me and your Sale-A-Bration items!!!

🐣🐣🐣🐣🐣🐣

I hope you are staying safe and practicing your self care and social distancing, hopefully we will be over the hump with this virus in another week or two.
Take care,

Color Challenge - Green Monochromatic

Welcome to Corner of Plaid and Paisley, I am Ann Krucek - new to the Kre8tors Blog Hop family!

For this month's card we were given a color challenge, to create a card using the color green - with a little help from white or black.

I chose the combinations of Mossy Meadow for my darkest color of sprigs all the way to Soft Seafoam for my lightest shade of green.

I hope you enjoy my version of our Green Color Challenge Cards.
This was fun for me because my birthday is on St. Patrick's Day and
green has always been one of my favorite colors.

I used a lot of texture with the Sublte Embossing folder and the Heirloom Embossed frames on this card since we were using a monotone color palette.  That brings a little more interest to the card.

🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿

🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿

Thank you for hopping to my site and checking out my project! If you saw something you love, please contact your demonstrator to place your order. If you don’t have a demonstrator, I would love to help you!

Now on to our next creative demonstrator, Michelle Bryant at Crafty Paper!
Below is a list of all the demonstrators involved in this month's hop just in case you get lost.
Check them all out for some truly green inspiration!
