We have had a few days of slightly cooler weather here, just perfect to get us all in the fall mood. Football season has started and it is time to dig out the flannel!! This is my favorite time of the year!

It is also time to join my Tablescaping Group for a fall table. I hope you are ready for some fabulous inspiration from all of my blogging friends because we have 15 wonderful tables to share! All of the links will be at the end of my post. Much thanks to Rita from Panoply for organizing these hops.

Of course. with a name like Corner of Plaid and Paisley I had to go with the full on fall plaid for the tablecloth! When I saw these dishes, they gave me a paisley vibe with some nice fall colors.
Since the weather had been so warm here until a couple of days ago, none of the fall plants or flower were in the stores yet - so I went with more of a dried stems centerpiece.
I used my giant wood charcuterie board as the base of my centerpiece with some faux fall leaves and a few oversized acorns.
The dinner plate and bowls are from a set by Goodness & Grace called Amadora Garden. I found them in a little specialty shop in Ohio's Amish Country.
I like using a lot of textured items for fall - like my faux wood chargers and the textured rim tealish green salad plates I popped in the middle of the plate stack.
Wood handled flatware and wood napkin rings add to that natural feel.
My little chipmunk is eyeing those big acorns!!
I love the rustic look of the earthenware pot and the acorns with the textured caps.
I decided to try a new recipe for the season, baked pears! They turned out beautiful, very tasty and yet so easy to make!!

Although, my bowls were a bit big for my one pear, these are pretty robust with the feta cheese so I feel like a half of a pear is a good serving size.

I hope you enjoyed my table and recipe.
Now it is time to check out all of the other tables joining in on the hop! Or if you have been following along all this time- just one more!!

Sweater weather is my favorite!! I can't wait to get my mums and pumpkins out on the front porch.
I am wishing you a beautiful autumn season with a lot of your favorite things like pumpkin spice lattes, apple cinnamon donuts or the scent of a toasted pecan candle wafting through your home!!
Ann, your layered plates and floral and plaid pairings are charming and I adore that wooden squirrel! Happy almost fall to you!
