Spring Curio Cards using The Greetery products

I have been having fun putting together these tiny butterflies, moths and dragon flies by The Greetery.

I am not paid for this post, I just enjoy using The Greetery's products and want to share them with you.  These dies have been out for a while but I thought they deserved another day in the sun because they are so beautiful with tiny details and can be mixed and matched to make a variety of cards.

Spring with a Dash of Easter Table

Welcome to my corner of Spring in Ohio!  Where we are all celebrating the daffodils and tulips popping through the once frozen ground to start their job of bringing spring color after months of snow and grey skies.

My table is part of our Spring Tablescape hop arranged by Rita of Panoply.  Rita does such a wonderful job of coordinating all of us table enthusiasts together for these blog hops.

The links to the participating blogs are at the end of my post.  It is always fun to see what everyone has created!

Spring Sprouts New Life Table

Welcome to Corner of Plaid and Paisley where signs of spring are sprouting up here in Ohio.

I am happy to be participating in our Spring Tablescape Hop organized by the wonderful Rita of Panoply!  There are 19 wonderful table stylist participating in our hop today with a mix of Easter and Spring Tables.   All of the links to these inspirational tables will be at the end of my post for you to enjoy.

My table is all about the new growth of plants just popping up all over the gardens showing sure signs of Spring. Here in Ohio, we are hoping that the little bit freezing weather we will still get will not hurt their growth.

These Tete-a-Tete Minature Daffodils are my favorite spring flower because they are one of the first to sprout.  I used lunch bags that I cut a zig zag edge across the top and then wrapped the flower pots and tied it with a little yellow gingham ribbon.  Greenery and several cute little ducks are tucked in between the flower pots.

You may notice that my table is not in my usual setting.  This table is at my daughter's house.  I too, am in a state of new growth as I am in the process of starting a new chapter in my life and I will be moving soon.  Since I have not moved my dishes yet,  I was a little limited to what I had available to me to set this table.  I did purchase the plates new at HomeGoods about two weeks ago.

I liked uniqueness of the wood on just a portion of the plate and the leafy motif on the rest of the plate.

The loosely woven rattan placemats along with the round  greenery charger mats remind me of the state of the way our garden beds look now - sparse and full of twigs waiting for new growth.

The button loop napkin rings hold double sided napkins showing more of the striped side on top of a subtle green checked table cloth.
Perfect for a spring gathering of girlfriends for a light lunch and each guest goes home with a little wrapped pot of daffodils!

Now are you ready to see some more beautiful Spring or Easter Tables?

Spring Card - Kre8tors Blog Hop

Welcome to Kre8tors Blog Hop April 2020 - Spring Theme!

I am Ann Krucek, coming to you from Ohio where we have been hunkered down for a month now.
I am so thankful that I have my Stampin' Up! family to help us through these crazy times!

Wanting to make something bright and cheerful lead me to the cute little flowers in the Grandma's House Set for my Spring Card for this Blog Hop.

Using the masking technique, I stamped out a piece of Whisper White with rows and rows of the flowers and colored them with my Stampin' Blends.  Then I used those same blends and a ruler and made my own striped paper on Whisper White Cardstock.

This gate fold card ties with the fun, bright Daffodil Yellow Ruched Ribbon.
The Highland Heather piece is from the Stiched So Sweetly Dies.
The Label Me Lovely Punch was used for the Whisper White shape stamped with the flowers.

and I lined the inside sides of the card with some bright yellow gingham check paper.
I have used this sentiment a lot lately - it just seems appropriate for the times! It is from the Positive Thoughts stamp set.

This card is sure to brighten someone's day!

Next up is Alexandra Rauf

Spring Ducklings Card and Box

Spring is just around the corner, and it could not come fast enough here!
These little ducklings are sure to put a smile on some one's face!
🐥🐥🐥🐥🐥🐥🐥🐥
These favors are from my Spring Tablescape that I did last week - the full post can be seen here.
and promised the instructions on how to make them.

So I wanted to make good on that promise, although I am a little later than I had hoped.
I have been having connectivity issues with the internet lately, making editing photos and writing posts very frustrating.  But I got a good day today - so I am trying to play catch up!

These little favor boxes are easy to make.

  • The  bottom of the box is a 6" x 6" square of So Saffron cardstock scored at 2" on all 4 sides.
  • I stamped the little flowers randomly on the cardstock next, using Crushed Curry ink and the little triple flower stamp from the Welcome Easter Stamp Set.
  • Then I cut along the score lines just up to the 2" line on each corner - turning the piece each time,

this way you only have one piece on a side folded in so that the sides don't get too bulky.  I folded over each side to form the box bottom and secured it with liquid glue.
🐣🐣🐣🐣🐣
  • The top is a 4" X 4" square of Smoky Slate cardstock scored at 1" on all 4 sides.
  • I stamped the stripes on the square using the staff stamp from the Music From the Heart Stamp Set and Gray Granite ink.
  • Then I cut along the score lines just up to the 1" line on each corner just like the bottom of the box. Fold over each side and secure with liquid glue to form the lid.
  • The tag is the smallest duckling from the Fable Friends Stamp Set.  I cut my ducks apart!  Yep!  took the scissors to my stamp and cut the little duck off from the other two ducks - I can always put them back together at any time!
  • Stamped the duckling with black Memento ink, on Whisper White Card stock, then cut with the smallest stitched circle from the Stitched Shapes dies.
  • I colored the duckling with Light Daffodil Delight, Dark Daffodil Delight, and Light Pumpkin Pie Stampin' Blends.
  • Happy Spring from the Fable Friends Set is stamped in Grey Granite Ink on So Saffron Paper and cut with the oval die from the  Mini Curvey Keepsake die.
  • They are tied on with the Metallic Baker's Twine from the Sale-A-Bration offerings - (sorry, no longer in stock)

🐤🐤🐤🐤🐤🐤🐤🐤🐤
I took this thought one step further and made a card to match the box.
It uses pretty much all the same things, I  used the scalloped edge die from the Be Mine Stitched Framlits Dies to cut the top and bottom of the So Saffron strip across the middle and then I cut two narrow Whisper White pieces for either side of the Smokey Slate piece.  The sentiment is from the Timeless Tulips Stamp Set with one of my go to sentiment dies -sorry, it is retired- from the Petals and More Thinlit  Dies. The yellow sequins are from the same Sale-A-Bration offering with the Metallic Twine that is no longer in stock.
🐥🐥🐥🐥🐥🐥🐥🐥🐥🐥🐥🐥

Sale-A-Bration is still happening until the end of March - so there is still time for you to pick up some great freebies.  There are several that are that have sold out - like the Bee Paper and the Metallic twine I used in this post - but there are some great new additions as of March 1st - including some great floral foil paper!  All of these Sale-A-Bration items are as supplies last.

Hit my shop with me button and take a look at all that is available in my shop.  If you place an online order with me for more than $35 and use my Hostess Code up in the top right column, I will send you a selection of  6" x 6" Designer Series paper.  If you spend more than $50 before the end of the month you will receive a free Sale-A-Bration on top of the DSP from me!  If you spend more than $150 - don't use my Hostess code and choose your own free items at the end of your order - on top of the free DSP from me and your Sale-A-Bration items!!!

🐣🐣🐣🐣🐣🐣

I hope you are staying safe and practicing your self care and social distancing, hopefully we will be over the hump with this virus in another week or two.
Take care,

Spring Table - Blog Hop

Welcome to my spring table filled with sunny yellow accents to brighten up our grey days here in Northeast Ohio.
My spring table is part of the Spring Tablescape Blog Hop organized by Chloe Crabtree of Celebrate & Decorate.  If you came over from Belle Blue Interiors, Welcome!!!
The list of blogs involved in this hop is near the end of my post, so be sure to check out all of the wonderful spring tables - sure to inspire your spring decorating.
🐥🐥🐥🐥🐥🐥🐥🐥🐥🐥
We still have snow on the ground here - so sometimes it is hard to think of full blown spring at this time of the year. We still get snow all through March and sometimes in April - which is a bit discouraging at times.
We look forward to sunny, warmer days!

So I thought I would bring a little bit of my favorite signs of spring to my table.
I love to see the crocuses straining to be the first to make their appearance.
Some of the best sounds are from all the waterfowl on our lake quacking and honking as they are making their way back home,
The birds are busy gathering their nest materials and chirping happily as they work.

I made some sweet little favor boxes and filled them with crocus bulbs, if you get them in the ground between freeze and thaws - there is a chance they will still do well this year.

I will be doing a post later in the week on how to make the sweet little favor boxes - so please stop back!!  CLICK HERE for that post!

For more fabulous Spring Table inspiration - follow the hop!
Next up is the Zucchini Sisters!

I hope you have sunny days ahead and you enjoy all the signs of spring around you!

Cabbage, Clover and Cream St. Patrick's Day Table

Welcome to my St. Patrick's Day Table!
We are celebrating with Cabbage, Clover and Cream!
Three things that the Irish are famous for!
I suppose we could have added Corned Beef - but that isn't as pretty!
I started with this crisp white, black and green plaid table cloth from Target, and built up from there.
I received this Blessing's Jar as a gift from my Stampin' Up upline, Linda.
It had a heart on the tag - so I decided to flip over the tag and stamp a little clover on the other side.
 🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀
I didn't have any appropriate napkin rings - so I took a cue from the wood tag on the jar and made my napkin rings.  I took some wood circles I had in my stash and just stamped them with the same clover that can be found in the Amazing Life stamp set found here with some Call Me Clover ink, and then just tied them on with some jute.
When I celebrate St. Patrick's Day, I do so not because I am Irish, but because it is my birthday!
This year is a big milestone - feeling a bit old - because it is the big 60!
I got my Golden Buckeye card in the mail the other day!
(something special for old Ohio residents!💚)
So for you,  I wish you much luck and many blessings on this St. Patrick's Day!
Have fun celebrating, as I will be enjoying my annual green beer!

Spring is Just Around the Corner!

With Spring being just around the corner,
and I am celebrating spring by joining Chloe Crabtree from Celebrate and Decorate in her Springtime Tablescape Blog Hop happening this week.
I have the links to 26 wonderful table stylists and their Springtime Tables at the bottom of this post.
Visit each and enjoy the inspiration sparking spring all around!

🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸
In reality- this is what it looks like outside my door!!!

🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸

But let's focus on spring!!
This is what my kitchen table looks like😊
Much nicer, with the look and feel of spring!

I found these fun plates at HomeGoods.  There were actually 4 different animals in the series.  I originally wanted all the lambs - so I could do -March in like a lion and out like a lamb theme- but they only had three lambs (doesn't that just drive ya crazy?!?!?)
The other two animals in the set that I didn't purchase was a bunny (because I already have plates with a bunny wearing flowers) and a chick.   ( I just didn't get the warm and fuzzies from the chick, it looked like it was all hunched over.  I didn't want the chick with posture issues!)

I settled with the goose and the lamb. So, I guess March is in like a goose and out like a lamb at my place!
A simple green pinstripe tablecloth acts as my base.  The placemats, I find myself using all the time - I just love that little bit of greenery that peeks out under the chargers. Some bright flowers and more greenery make up the centerpiece.
I made up a little spring favor from my Stampin' Up! stash of goodies.
The clear favor boxes can be found here.  I used Gingham Gala paper and the Pretty Labels Punch to make a spring topper for the boxes and filled them with colorful gummy candies.
I love these new plaid rimmed plates from HomeGoods, They had salad plates as well, but I only picked up the four dinner plates - I will probably regret that someday! For the napkins, a simple roll tied with ribbon and a sprig or two of baby's breath.

Wishing you a very lovely Spring!
