Thanksgiving Table 2021 -a bit Boho

Welcome to my casual Thanksgiving table that has taken on a bit of a black and white boho vibe this year.

I am joining 21 other table stylists today, bringing you our best Thanksgiving table decor.  Rita from Panopoly has gathered all of us together for this wonderful hop!!  We are thankful for Rita and her great organizational skills - she does such a fabulous job as our ring leader!  All the links for the other bloggers will be at the bottom of my post.

We will actually be spending our Thanksgiving at my son and daughter-in-law's house this year so I won't be setting a big fancy Thanksgiving Table.  So I wanted to set a casual table that we could enjoy a little Friendsgiving one evening!

It is the smallest things that sometimes inspire a whole theme!   I have always loved mixing and matching patterns so I fell in love with this little dip tray set with the different tile patterns on the little bowls while I was shopping with a gift card in one of my favorite shops.  They also had a cracker tray to match that  came home with me as well.
I went with lots of wood and naturals for the decor to keep this casual and relaxed.
My little pilgrim girl was a Marshall's find - she was dressed for the occasion to be featured as my centerpiece.
A simple white and black plate stack with the salad plate wording - Gather, Blessed, Thankful, and Grateful - expresses the perfect Thanksgiving sentiments.

In each bowl I placed a small carton box favor that I made and stamped with a Thanksgiving sentiment from the Stampin' Up! Pretty Pumpkins Stamp Set.  I tied up the carton with some raffia - because you just can't do Thanksgiving without a little raffia somewhere!
As promised - here are the links to all of the other talented bloggers that are eager to share their beautiful Thanksgiving tables with you:

Thanksgiving Tablescape, Gather Together

I truly have a lot to be thankful for as we come upon this Thanksgiving holiday.
I am joining a wonderful group of table stylist for a Thanksgiving Tablescape Hop this week.  Chloe Crabtree, from Celebrate & Decorate, has gathered 24 talented women together to show off our versions of a Thanksgiving Table.  I hope you enjoy taking a peek at all the tables, the links will be at the end of my post and will be updated throughout the week.

We will not be having our family Thanksgiving feast at our house,
That is one thing I am thankful for!!!  I don't have to do all of the cooking and cleaning!
We will be celebrating at my sister's house.
So I just set a small table for us to enjoy.
This is a bit of a departure from my usual pattern ridden tables.  I opted for something a bit simpler for Thanksgiving.
But did you notice - I still managed to get just a tiny
bit of plaid in on this one?
I had a hard time with the lighting on this table - it wasn't the brightest day outside, plus now the daylight hours are so short. But on the flip side - Hallmark movies are in full swing!
I am addicted to them - yes, I play the Hallmark fantasy game!!   Everyone else in my family is talking football.  I enjoy my fantasy Hallmark league much better than my fantasy football team.
As promised - here are the links to all of the other bloggers participating in the hop this week.

Holiday Catalog Sneak Peak - Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop

Welcome to my first time hopping with the Stampin Dreams  Blog Hop!!
I am Ann Krucek from the United States of America.
I am happy to join this international group of creative stampers! This month we are doing a Holiday Catalog Sneak Peak.  So you should be inspired by lots of creativity with the new products.

I chose to focus on fall with this post.  I used the Come to Gather Designer Series Paper in both of these cards.

The first card is actually using a die set that is featured in the Toile Tidings Suite, called All-Around Wreath Dies. I used lots of layering with card stock, foil paper and just a hint of DSP.
I also added some more texture by using the Braided Linen Trim tucked in with the leaves.  The sentiment is from the Gather Together Stamp Set.

🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁

The second card I did was again using the Come Gather Together DSP.  But this time I used the Gather Together Stamp Set and the Gathered Leaves Dies.
I inked up my dies when I ran them through to cut them.  So I used Pretty Peacock paper and used a sponge to put white ink on my leaf die,  then did the opposite - I used Whisper White paper and used a sponge to put Pretty Peacock ink on my leaf die.  I love the effect it gives the leaves.
I stamped the pumpkins with Soft Sued on to the wood look paper and used the Braided Linen Trim again for some pumpkin vines.  I wrapped the trim around a narrow paint brush and put a very very light coat of glue on the outer side and let it sit and dry for a long time.  Don't put too much glue on or it will stick to your paint brush!!

Please be sure to check out all of the blogs on our hop today!  Here is the list of those participating:

Thanksgiving Table

I have set a very masculine Thanksgiving table this year.
I had always felt that Thanksgiving was a holiday more for the men in our family than the women. That is why I chose these grey and wood tones for my table.

I am joining a wonderful group of bloggers for a Thanksgiving Tablescape  Blog Hop going on all week. All the links for 20 different Thanksgiving Tables for inspiration are near the bottom of this post.  Thank you to Chloe Crabtree from Celebrate & Decorate for putting this Hop together.
When I was growing up, it was always the women running around doing all the workand the men where in the other room watching football until all the food is ready.  Then they ate and drank and return to the other room to watch more football, and the women were to clean up all the dishes.

I won't be hosting our actual Thanksgiving dinner, we will be going to my sister's house for dinner.  But I like that my boys lend a hand in setting the table and serving the food these days.
We enjoy much more conversation around the table now then when I was growing up. And I am proud to say that all the husbands and sons now pitch in to clean up all the dishes. I think that this is more of how we should be giving thanks- by working together and enjoying each other's company!

Speaking of enjoying others-

Oh! and many, many dishes!

A Thanksgiving Cornucopia

This cornucopia table came about as I was as was trying to decide which one of my little pumpkins was stinking up the joint!
Yep!  Those cute little white and orange pumpkins are oh so darling, until they start to go bad!
I came down stairs this morning to a slightly raunchy smell.  Now I don't have the best nose for smelling.  It has to do with mixing some bleach with my cloth diapers when the kids were little- I created a mushroom cloud over my washing machine and breathed it in. (Never realizing that there was that much ammonia in urine!  I must also mention that the washing machine was built the year my husband and I were born - and it did not have a separate rinse cycle!)   When I breathed in this chemical reaction, it burnt all down my nasal passage ways - and ever since then my sense of smell is a little off.  I just wanted whiter diapers!!
Back to this morning and me actually smelling something bad - I had smelled this before, I knew the smell -  It reminds me of driving past a land fill and it was in my kitchen!
I found the not so cute little pumpkin with the rotten spot and quickly tossed him, then went through all the rest to make sure there were not more.
So I decided to do one last table using them before they all went bad and this is what I came up with!
This twig cornucopia has been hanging around in my fall decor box for years, so I thought I would put it and all the "harvest" goodies I had in my house together for a centerpiece.
These pottery bowls spoke to me about 6 months ago while I was at a Marshalls, but they finally made their debut today.
The cream colored leaf border dishes was one of the first big splurges I made when I started my blog.
I used them in my Thanksgiving post in 2013.
I didn't realize until just now, that I used the same chargers as well.
As we come up on Thanksgiving, I am hoping you all have plenty of food and thankful thoughts
to fill your cornucopia!
I am thankful for all of you who stop by and visit!  It means a lot to me!!
Happy Thanksgiving!

Ann

Thanksgiving Blessings - Blog Hop

Welcome to my Thanksgiving Blessings tablescape.
I am happy to be joining up with many wonderful bloggers to give you our takes on Thanksgiving table decor for the upcoming season.  Chloe Crabtree from Celebrate & Decorate has assembled a fantastic Thanksgiving Blog Hop for all to enjoy, so please indulge in the links at the end of my post for more inspiration!

Grey and orange is the color palette of my table as dictated by the paisley tablecloth that started the whole table.  When I saw this tablecloth I didn't think twice about the purchase since plaids and paisleys are my thing.
I really wanted to put complimenting plaid napkins with this table setting but I never found any that would work, so I settled on the plain grey napkins adorned with the bittersweet napkin rings.
The pumpkins and squash took center stage, flanked by a pair of pheasant that I had used several years ago.

A little reminder of why we are gathering is at each placesetting.
I think I am obsessed with this new flatware set that resembles a twig or branch (I have used it in my last three tables!) I thought it went well with the grey rims and branches on the dessert plates.
I am thankful for the many blessings that God has granted me and my family.  We will actually be having our big Thanksgiving dinner at my sister's house with other members of our family, so there will be many more than four place settings at that
celebration.

If you look in the background of this photo - you can see we are still working on our fixer upper house.  The steps are partially painted and we have not put down the runner yet.
I am thankful for a handy and patient husband!

Thank you to Chloe Crabtree at Celebrate & Decorate for putting this hop together. Just click on the blogs below and it should take you right to their Thanksgiving tables.  Enjoy!
