Summer Sunflower Table

 Hi all, it's just me!  I am sharing a fun little summer table I set on my deck this week.

If you know me well, you know that I love Sunflowers!!  They make me smile.  I think daisies and

 sunflowers are happy flowers.

Stampin Dreams Blog Hop - Annual Catalog Sneak Peak

Welcome to my first Sneak Peak of the new Annual Catalog using a combination of the Celebrate Sunflowers and Forever Fern Stamp and Die Sets!

This is my card for the  Stampin Dreams May Blog Hop.

I am Ann, coming to you from Ohio,  here to share some new product inspiration with you along with others that are here to share their ideas as well.

I have a thing for sunflowers, so when I saw the Celebrate Sunflowers Bundle - it was one of the first things on my must have list from the new 2020-2021 Annual Catalog coming out in June.
I knew I was in trouble when I was only on page 13 and already had a nice list going!

This card also uses some of the greenery stamps and dies from the Forever Fern Bundle.  These greenery stamps are those distinctive stamps that have all the shading in them- they stamp beautifully without a lot of work.

Also on that same page - Pg 108 in the new catalog -  I also used a tiny part of the Forever Gold Laser-Cut Specialty Paper.   The gold grid back ground and a couple of gold dot sprigs are from that pack - and there are a lot of pieces in that gold laser cut pack - it will be well used and loved.

Two other new items used on this card is the Tasteful Textile 3D folder.  This didn't look like much in the catalog - but I am such a huge fan of the Sublte embossing folder that I took a chance on this one- boy am I glad I did!!!  Love it!!!  You will be seeing this one a lot on this blog!!

The other new item is the wood paper - it is from the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper.  I can't tell you enough how beautiful Stampin' Up! DSP paper is in person verses seeing a photo of it in the catalog.  This pack features all sorts of textural goodies that add so much to a project.

Oh - I forgot Dimensionals!!!   I did use quite a few dimensionals on the flower and leaf layers!

I was super pleased with all of the items I used in this card.  As I mentioned in the first line of this post - this is just my first sneak peak post - there are so many wonderful new products in the new catalog - I will be doing a few more sneak peaks. There is one thing I was disappointed with in the new catalog and that is that you can only purchase the Stampin' Blends in the Combo Pack - previously you could purchase the light and dark separately.  But I am thrilled with the new In Colors and I will be highlighting some of those within the next two weeks.  I have a lot to show you from this new catalog - so be sure to follow me on either here on my blog or on my Facebook page!

Sunflower Blooms and Bees

Sunflower blooms and bees are plentiful this time of year around northeast Ohio,

so, I made them the theme of my late summer tablescape for Chloe Crabtree's tablescape hop this week!  This is a wonderful way to bow out of summer and go gracefully into fall.

Join us in celebrating the end of summer with some beautiful tables.  Each day this week there will be 4 or 5 new tables designed by some wonderful table stylist.  If you haven't already seen Monday's posts yet, please be sure to click on the links listed at the end of my post so that you don't miss any!

I started with a sunny buffalo checked table cloth to set the mood.  My sunflowers sure speak to a sunny, cheerful mood as well.

I love these little melamine bee plates!  I have a nice stack of different melamine picnic plates now and we use them all the time.  We have quite a few impromptu get together after golf or after a day on the boat and these are perfect to pull out for a quick bite to eat.  Reusable plates are a nice way to save on all the waste with paper plates.

Honestly, it doesn't take long to wash up a pile of these. And when they are so cute, it makes it a lot more fun!

  I have had people dig through the stack and look for their favorite design!

The honeycomb one is my favorite of these bee plates.

I made some little sunflowers to adorn my napkins.  I used my Stampin' Up! Daisy punches( there are two sizes, large and a medium) I  just made the centers big brown circles, added some texture, then added some greenery with some leafy die cuts.

I found some honey candy that would work perfectly for a little favor for the table,

so I made up four little sunflower boxes.

We have a couple of sunflower events going on around us in the next week or two, one at a local winery, another at a farm.  I hope to get to them before the flowers are done.

I hope your summer is winding down with a cheerful smile on your face 

and some great summer memories!

Sunflowers Make us Smile!

Sunflowers are just one of those things that will make so many of us smile!

On the other hand, bees are something that can be very pesky, even though they are a vital part of our environment.   

I kind of look at it as sweet and sour.

You can't really have one without the other!

We have been following the sun just like the sunflowers!

 We have seen quite a few bees around here.

Unfortunately most of them are the wood boring bees and I am not sure that they

are the kind we want to see!

I hope your summer has been sunny and bright!
