Plentiful Plants Thank you Card

Hi creative friends!  I was working with the new Plentiful Plants Bundle and the Bloom Where You're Planted DSP yesterday and just had to share this card real quick!!

This has been such a fun set to play with - I am currently putting some cards together for my next class which will include two cards from this set.  What I love about this Stamp and Die bundle and DSP is that the combinations are endless.  Mixing and matching is made so simple with Stampin' Up's color coordinated papers, inks and cardstock!!

I did a little different fold with this one.  You can see it better with the inside view - then I will give you the dimensions.
  • Base is Soft Succulent Cardstock 4 1/4" X 11"  - cut 3 1/4" of the long end- this 3 1/4"' x 4 1/4" piece will be used for the front of the card.
  • Brick DSP  -from Bloom Where You're Planted DSP- pieces measure 2" x 4" for the small front flap and 4" X 5 1/4" for the inside of the card.
  • Turn the piece you cut off your base and adhere just the top of it to your flap - see photo above.  So you are going to center the 3 1/4 " wide  piece on the 4 1/4 inch base flap.
  • The multi colored DSP I used for the flap is from the new Hostess Paper bundle found on page 171 in the catalog called Pattern Party. It measures 3" x 4".
  • The next layer- from the Bloom Where You're Planted DSP- is cut with the Hippo & Friends Die in the grey speckled DSP
  • The pots and green plants are cut with dies from the DSP - the more fern like plant was fussy cut from the DSP.
  • I used the Ornate Frames for the little sentiment die and the sentiment is stamped in Cinnamon Cider ink with a stamp from the Pansy Patch stamp set.
  • I added some Genial Gems and a little bow with Crumb Cake Bakers Twine.
  • The inside is a 3" x 4" piece of Basic White Cardstock over the brick DSP.  I stamped a random leaf in the corner with Soft Succulent Ink.
These items can be found in my store - just click here!  Stampin' Up! is running several promotions right now in conjunction with the new Annual Catalog Launch.

Ice Cream You Scream - We all scream for ice cream!! Ice Cream Corner Blog Hop!

Welcome to the Ice Cream Corner Blog Hop!

You have landed at Corner of Plaid and Paisley!  I am Ann Krucek, from Malvern, Ohio - here with a new project - it is not just a card! I wish we had smellavision because this is a wonderful smelling folio with a scented sachet bag inside!

I am part of the Ice Cream Corner Blog Hop today and we are showing off anything made with Stampin' Up!'s Ice Cream Corner Suite from the Mini Catalog.

I was so drawn to this collection at the first sight of this catalog.  I love the colors, the font, the ease of a punch - just a great set!!  And of course - who doesn't like ice cream!

This is such a great set to send a little ice cream gift card for a birthday or thank you, however, I wanted to make a little seat gift for a group of ladies in my Stampin' Up! family who just finished with a weight loss challenge!!!  So I did not think the ice cream gift card was the perfect thing to lay on them at this point. While I was shopping in Kirklands one day - I ran across these sachet bags that reminded me of the Ice Cream Corner Suite. - My little lightbulb went off - perfect - no calorie treat that won't break the bank!!

So I was off to make up a little holder to fit these sachet bags and here is what I came up with.

  • The base of the folio is Pool Party Cardstock cut 7" x 11" and scored at 5 1/4' and again at 5 3/4" to make a book spine
  • The pocket of the folio is a Cinnamon Cider Card Stock cut and scored with the dimensions shown

  • Score the two short sides and one long side at 1/2" and 1", burnish and fold to make your pocket box.
  • Adhere with Tear and Tape to the bottom edge of your folio.
  • Cut a piece of long ribbon (I used the Polka Dot Tulle) and adhere it to your folio base- front and back with a little Stampin' Seal.
  • I decorated my folio with Basic White, Cinnamon Cider Cardstock and the Ice Cream Corner DSP - this goes over the top of your ribbon used to tie your folio closed.
  • Cut a scalloped circle and a plain circle for the sentiment and stamped out an Ice Cream Cone adhered that and the sentiment with dimensionals.  I added some of the little paper Ice Cream Corner Sprinkles by just using a dot of glue on the back of each one.
  • A little bit of decoration in the inside with the Oval Occasions on the box holder and a sentiment from Simply Succulents on the left side.

I hope you enjoyed this sachet holder and hopefully it sparks some ideas for a future project!

Here are a ton of other ideas from the talented bloggers taking part in this Ice Cream Hop-
Be sure to check them all out!

In Good Taste DSP Cards

Just a quick post today, showing off the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper!
This is quickly becoming my favorite Designer Series Paper in the New 2020-21 Annual Catalog.
There is so much texture to most of the designs. The paper speaks well on its own and can star as the focal point of any card as they do in these two cards.

This simple thank you note  uses two of the blue and white designs from the In Good Taste DSP pack that reminds me of the pretty tile that everyone is using these days!  The denim looking paper  is from the new In Color 6X6 DSP pack.  I used the thank you sentiment from Free as a Bird and the flourish above and below the sentiment is from Positive Thoughts.  The ribbon, ink and cardstock is all in the new Misty Moonlight color.

ᏡᏡᏡᏡᏡᏡᏡᏡᏡᏡᏡᏡᏡ
This beautiful soft pink textured paper just called out baby card to me.  I wanted the DSP to do most of the talking.  So I punched a few small holes down the side of the DSP and threaded the Whisper White Faux Linen Ribbon from the Flowers for Every Season Ribbon Combo Pack  down the side and added a bow.  I used the Layering Circles for the sentiment  - found in the Wildly Happy Stamp Set and added few rhinestones.  Simple and sweet!

This is the beautiful paper used for these two cards
It is pretty hard to see just how beautiful it is here!
I hope this photo I took of some of the papers is a little better.  There are 24 Sheets of 12"X12"
 2 each of 12 double-sided designs
It is shown on page 148 in the new catalog.

If you are interested in ordering and you don't already have a demonstrator, I would love to help you out.  You can shop 24/7 right here at Corner of Plaid and Paisley - either click on the Shop with Me button at the top, just above the rotating photos or on the right column on the box with the store front.

If you order less than $150.00 worth of products, please use my hostess code at the top of the right hand column.  If you use that I will be able to send you a sample packet of some of the new Designer Series paper in 6"x6" size.  If you order more than $150.00 worth you will be able to use your Stampin' Rewards that will be offered to you at the end of your order! Paper Pumpkin - May 2020 Alternatives

Just a quick post to show some alternative cards made with the May Kit - A Kit in Color.
If you are not familiar with Paper Pumpkin - it is a Stampin' Up! monthly subscription paper craft kit that is all inclusive.  It comes with stamps, paper, ink spot and embellishments, you do not need any other tools to make the cards or project that the kit is made for.

Here are the supplies that were included in the May Kit:
This is typical of each kit - the majority of the kits are card kits, occasionally there are kits with favors or something a bit different.  As you can see you get printed paper, envelopes, glue dot, ink, stamps and embellishments.  In this kit there were supplies to make 8 full sized cards and 4 note cards.  The paper is all precut and ready to punch out the shapes.

There are instructions included to show you how to make these cards.

OK - now that I told you that you don't need any other supplies or tools to make the cards in the kit - the cards- The alternatives I showed in the first photo  - I did use some other tools.

I am listing the stamp sets I used for each of the sentiments on my cards:
Dream Big - Over the Moon
Hey - is included in the kit
Here's to those who inspire us - Part of My Story
It's your time to shine - Daisy Lane
I Can't Thank You Enough -So Sentimental
Thank you So Very Much - Butterfly Gala

I hope you got some inspiration for changing up the kit cards a bit.

Stampin Dreams Blog Hop - Annual Catalog Sneak Peak

Welcome to my first Sneak Peak of the new Annual Catalog using a combination of the Celebrate Sunflowers and Forever Fern Stamp and Die Sets!
This is my card for the  Stampin Dreams May Blog Hop.
I am Ann, coming to you from Ohio,  here to share some new product inspiration with you along with others that are here to share their ideas as well.
🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻
I have a thing for sunflowers, so when I saw the Celebrate Sunflowers Bundle - it was one of the first things on my must have list from the new 2020-2021 Annual Catalog coming out in June.
I knew I was in trouble when I was only on page 13 and already had a nice list going!
This card also uses some of the greenery stamps and dies from the Forever Fern Bundle.  These greenery stamps are those distinctive stamps that have all the shading in them- they stamp beautifully without a lot of work.

Also on that same page - Pg 108 in the new catalog -  I also used a tiny part of the Forever Gold Laser-Cut Specialty Paper.   The gold grid back ground and a couple of gold dot sprigs are from that pack - and there are a lot of pieces in that gold laser cut pack - it will be well used and loved.

Two other new items used on this card is the Tasteful Textile 3D folder.  This didn't look like much in the catalog - but I am such a huge fan of the Sublte embossing folder that I took a chance on this one- boy am I glad I did!!!  Love it!!!  You will be seeing this one a lot on this blog!!

The other new item is the wood paper - it is from the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper.  I can't tell you enough how beautiful Stampin' Up! DSP paper is in person verses seeing a photo of it in the catalog.  This pack features all sorts of textural goodies that add so much to a project.

Oh - I forgot Dimensionals!!!   I did use quite a few dimensionals on the flower and leaf layers!
I was super pleased with all of the items I used in this card.  As I mentioned in the first line of this post - this is just my first sneak peak post - there are so many wonderful new products in the new catalog - I will be doing a few more sneak peaks. There is one thing I was disappointed with in the new catalog and that is that you can only purchase the Stampin' Blends in the Combo Pack - previously you could purchase the light and dark separately.  But I am thrilled with the new In Colors and I will be highlighting some of those within the next two weeks.  I have a lot to show you from this new catalog - so be sure to follow me on either here on my blog or on my Facebook page!

Let me know if you have any questions!!  These new products will be available to order on June 3rd.  If you do not have a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator I would be happy to help you out and have you join my team!!
🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻

I hope you get lots of inspiration from this hop today.  Please enjoy all the ideas from the other demonstrators participating today!

Witty-Cisms Cards

One of the cutest and easiest stamp sets in the Stampin' Up! January- June 2020 Mini Catalog is the Witty-Cisms Stamp Set.

There are 7 cute images with clever sentiments - along with 2 additional sentiments to make a card for just about any fun occasion.  These are just two out of the set!

🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓

When I looked at the  strawberry stamp - I immediately thought of gingham paper and scalloped edges.  So I got out one of my favorite dies - the scalloped edge die - from the Stitched Be Mine set.
I cut two Whisper White long narrow scalloped pieces to add to the sides of my Red Gingham piece going the length of the card - 5 1/2".  A Whisper White scalloped circle is layered with a Call Me Clover Circle and then topped with the stamped and colored white layer that was punched out with the Label Me Lovely Punch.  I forgot to put the Black Momento ink on my supply list - sorry!
But you always want to stamp with the Momento Ink when coloring with your Stampin' Blends- so that the ink does not smear or run.  I colored my Berry with both the Light and Dark Real Red Stampin Blends and the Dark Shaded Spruce Stampin Blends.  I also colored a piece of the Whisper White Crinkle Seam Binding Ribbon with Dark Real Red Stampin' Blends, then used that with a piece of white ribbon together to tie a little bow.  I topped the card off with a few Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels.
The Red Rhinestones are being offered as one of the new Freebie Items in the New Sale-A-Bration items in the 3rd Release of Sale-A-Bration Items
There is one week of Sale-A-Bration left - if you want to take advantage of these deals!

🌮🌮🌮🌮🌮🌮🌮🌮🌮🌮🌮

For those of you who enjoy Taco Tuesday - I did a Taco Witty-Cisms card!
This one is my favorite!
I knew I wanted bright colors with my Awesome Taco - so I went with Real Red for the base, then a layer of Call Me Clover.  For the Crushed Curry Layer  - I ran it through the Coastal Weave 3D Embossing folder and then used a 1" circle punch to clip off the corners.

I could not find the right patterned paper I wanted to use for the tag - so I made my own!
I took a piece of Whisper White Cardstock and drew stripes on it just using a ruler and several different Stampin' Blends.  I cut the tag shape out using the Bonanza Dies and punched a piece of  Gorgeous Grape from the Label Me Lovely Punch for the next layer.
The sentiment is cut with a circle from the Stitched Shapes Dies with Whisper White card stock  then stamped in black Memento ink so that I could color in my taco with Light and Dark Daffodil Delight, Light Pumpkin Pie and Dark Shaded Spruce Stampin Blends.

To finish the card off I tied a bow with the Crushed Curry Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon and added purple rhinestones to the corners.

As I mentioned above - this is the last week for all of these Sale-A-Bration deals.  With every $50 purchase you will be able to choose  a Sale -A-Bration item free!

If you order more that $35 and  use my host code above in column on the right - you will receive a sampler packet of  6" X 6" Designer Series paper from me as an extra bonus!  If you are ordering more that $150 - do not use my host code and you will receive your own Stampin' Rewards from Stampin' Up!
That is on top of the Sale-A-Bration items!

This is also a great time to sign up for Paper Pumpkin - the all inclusive monthly kit!  You will receive Sale-A-Bration deals with your pre-paid subscription as well.
Just hit my Shop with Me 24/7 button in the column on the right to place an order!
Thank you!!!

💙💚💛💜
In these uncertain times stay safe, we all need to get through this together.
Hopefully, sunnier days are ahead.
Take Care

You Always Deliver

I am sharing a card made with the You Always Deliver stamp set, this would be a great stamp set for anyone who has is small business where they are shipping our orders and want to include a little something special for your customer along with their purchases!
When I attended the Stampin' Up! Ohio Business Gathering in Columbus the other day and made these special cards for the ladies on our Buckeye Inklings Team by combining the You Always Deliver set and the Grandma's House stamp set.  This would work for Etsy shop owners, Avon ladies,
Thirty-One bags, Chalk Couture - you get the idea!
I don't know about you, but I love it when the UPS truck stops at my house!

Here is my recipe:
Crumb Cake cardstock base  8 1/2" X 5 1/2"  scored at 4 1/4" and folded in half.
Soft Suede -  5 1/4" X 4" mat layer
Daffodil Delight  - 5" X 3 3/4" mat layer
Whisper White - Stamped layer - 4 5/8" X 3 5/8"

I stamped the delivery man, the sunshine sentiment and the house with Memento Black ink using my Stamparatus, then colored the scene using Stamping Blends.  I stamped the little dotted circular stamp in the now retired set of Balloon Celebration to make the sun over the word sunshine.
I stamped the packages on Crumb Cake paper and fussy cut those out and adhered it in the delivery man's hands with some Dimensionals.
Then cut a piece of the gingham Crumb Cake DSP with my stitched rectangles die,
sized 3/4" X 2  1/2", I punched a Classic Label out of Daffodil Delight and stamped the sentiment with Soft Suede ink, I adhered the label on the gingham with Dimensionals as well.
I topped it all off with a little double bow tied with Linen Thread and adhered it to the corner with a glue dot.
📦📦📦📦📦📦📦📦📦📦📦📦📦📦📦📦
I hope the UPS truck stops at your house today with something good!

Stampin' Up! Meant to Be -Not just for Valentines!

It is always nice to spread some love.  It is easy to do with the new Meant to Be bundle from the new Stampin' Up! 2019 Occasions Catalog.
And just because this is considered a Valentine's day set, It can be used for many other cards such as Mother's Day, Miss You  or Wedding Cards.  I have also used it for a Thank you card here.
Since this is a new bundle, you save 10% by purchasing the Meant to Be stamp set and the Be Mine Stitched Framelits Dies together.  On all of these cards I used black ink and cardstock.  I did however use several other sentiments other than 6 sentiments it comes with just to give you some ideas on how to expand this set even more.

💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗
Let's make the Thanks card!
The base of the card is Crumb Cake Card stock cut to 5 1/2" X 8 1/2", scored down the middle at
4 1/4" , folded in half to make a basic A2 card.  I cut a rectangle piece of Whisper White  5 1/4" x 4" and ran it through my Big Shot using the Pinewood Planks embossing folder giving that a nice wood texture look.
Next I took my black ink and stamped out three out of the 6 heart stamps that comes with this set on Crumb Cake cardstock. Then matched them up with the framlits that fit the hearts I chose and ran them through the Big Shot to cut the hearts out.   TIP: I use washi tape to line my dies up with the stamped images and run them through my Big Shot. I personally don't like using the magnetic plate with the dies - I have don't like the way the dies jump around a bit with the magnetic force!!  I would rather just use the washi tape - it sticks just enough to hold it in place but not ruin you piece when you remove the tape.
Lastly I cut the Thanks word out with the Well Written Framlits Dies (also found in the new 2019 Occasions Catalog) from Blushing Bride Cardstock, .  I applied the hearts and the word Thanks with Tombow liquid glue.

Very Simple!

💟💟💟💟💟💟💟💟💟💟💟💟💟💟💟💟💟💟

On the You're the Best (sentiment from the Label Me Pretty stamp set) card I used dimensionals to pop out some of the hearts, that would be an option you could do on this card as well.  I also want to point out that there are a lot of framelits in the Be Mine Stitched Framelit Dies set.  I only used a few on these cards.  Check out how many come with it here!

💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕
