Ice Cream You Scream - We all scream for ice cream!! Ice Cream Corner Blog Hop!

 Welcome to the Ice Cream Corner Blog Hop!

You have landed at Corner of Plaid and Paisley!  I am Ann Krucek, from Malvern, Ohio - here with a new project - it is not just a card! I wish we had smellavision because this is a wonderful smelling folio with a scented sachet bag inside! 

I am part of the Ice Cream Corner Blog Hop today and we are showing off anything made with Stampin' Up!'s Ice Cream Corner Suite from the Mini Catalog.  

I was so drawn to this collection at the first sight of this catalog.  I love the colors, the font, the ease of a punch - just a great set!!  And of course - who doesn't like ice cream!

This is such a great set to send a little ice cream gift card for a birthday or thank you, however, I wanted to make a little seat gift for a group of ladies in my Stampin' Up! family who just finished with a weight loss challenge!!!  So I did not think the ice cream gift card was the perfect thing to lay on them at this point.While I was shopping in Kirklands one day - I ran across these sachet bags that reminded me of the Ice Cream Corner Suite. - My little lightbulb went off - perfect - no calorie treat that won't break the bank!!

So I was off to make up a little holder to fit these sachet bags and here is what I came up with.

• The base of the folio is Pool Party Cardstock cut 7" x 11" and scored at 5 1/4' and again at 5 3/4" to make a book spine
• The pocket of the folio is a Cinnamon Cider Card Stock cut and scored with the dimensions shown 

• Score the two short sides and one long side at 1/2" and 1", burnish and fold to make your pocket box.  
• Adhere with Tear and Tape to the bottom edge of your folio.
• Cut a piece of long ribbon (I used the Polka Dot Tulle) and adhere it to your folio base- front and back with a little Stampin' Seal.
• I decorated my folio with Basic White, Cinnamon Cider Cardstock and the Ice Cream Corner DSP - this goes over the top of your ribbon used to tie your folio closed.
• Cut a scalloped circle and a plain circle for the sentiment and stamped out an Ice Cream Cone adhered that and the sentiment with dimensionals.  I added some of the little paper Ice Cream Corner Sprinkles by just using a dot of glue on the back of each one.
• A little bit of decoration in the inside with the Oval Occasions on the box holder and a sentiment from Simply Succulents on the left side.  

I hope you enjoyed this sachet holder and hopefully it sparks some ideas for a future project!

Red White and Blue Patriotic Tablescape

Welcome to my 4th of July Table!

I am joining my talented friends for a Patriotic Tablescape Blog Hop.

Thank you to Chloe and Andrea for pulling us all together for this spectacular display of pride for our countries.

We will have lots of inspiration for your holiday fun and all the links will be at the bottom of my post.

 I got the inspiration for my table from some beautiful patriotic quilts I had seen on Pinterest.  While I am a sewer and love fabric, I have never been much of a quilter - mostly because of the time.  There are only so many hobbies(and money) a girl can have!!  So while I did not sew anything for this table,  I tried to choose from the dishes I had on hand, some that reminded me of fabric in old quilts.

 I made some  paper pieced quilt like designs for my little favor totes bags!

 I used the new Stampin' Up! The Right Triangle Bundle for these little star and pinwheel quilt designs on the little tote boxes. I stamped and cut a million little triangles and had fun piecing them all together in different quilt block designs - I think glue is a bit easier than if I had had to sew them all together!!  I also made a larger pieced project for the center of my wood frame wall art on the mantel.

This pitcher filled with waving flags was a must on the table since the design has a quilt square look to it.

I love this red tray because it reminds me of a little red wagon!  

We normally have a huge shindig here over the 4th because our little lake usually has such a spectacular fireworks show.  Unfortunately - that has been pushed back to Labor Day Weekend if all goes well with the pandemic numbers in this area.  We have scaled back out party to just include our immediate family - but I am thrilled to have them over and spend some time with them!

Toile Tidings with Boughs and Bells

I am participating in the Stampin' Dreams Blog hop with some pretty packages adored with Christmas boughs and bells today!

 Coming to you from the United States, I am sharing this collection of packages and a card made with the Toile Tidings Designer Series Paper.

I love this toile paper and (in case you can't tell) I am in love with this Real Red 1" rushed ribbon! This ribbon makes such a pretty full bow, it will make any gift look gorgeous.

 I have used the Toile Tidings Wrapping paper, Bells are Ringing Bundle and that beautiful rouched ribbon on the first package.  You can barely see the details on these bells but the green parts were stamped with Garden Green and the grey parts are colored with my Stampin' Blends.

For the second package -  it is the Toile Tidings Wrapping paper again, the Detailed Bells Dies and then added some boughs form the Beautiful Boughs Dies.

 These two little packages are fun to make.  The taller one in the back is an Acetate Box cut in half.  I filled it with assorted chocolates and added a flap with the Toile Tidings DSP to close up the open end. Then tied it up with a pretty red bow, added some boughs and the large gold jingle bell from the Detailed Bells Dies.

The  Mini Curvey Keepsake Box die has quickly become one of my favorites.  It is just big enough to fit 3 Dove chocolates inside. The check paper is again from the Toile Tidings DSP and I embellished this mini package with the small gold jingle bell from eh Detailed Bells Dies and the Gold Ribbon from the Christmas Time is here Suite that is not in the Holiday Catalog but can be found here.

Lastly, is my Christmas Card made with the Toile Tidings DSP, Beautiful Boughs Dies, the Heirloom Frames Dies & 3D Embossing Folders and the Garden Green 3/8" Double Stitched Ribbon.

I did this all just for one of our team members - Bonnie.  She did not like this Toile Tidings Suite because it featured the big Cardinal - She has a thing against birds!!  No worries, Bonnie - I didn't use the bird!! and I think even she will agree that this paper has an old fashioned Christmas vibe to it that takes you back in time.

Wine Bottle Wrap - Stampin' Up! 3-D Project Hop

Welcome to October Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop,  I am Ann Krucek, happy to be blogging from the United States of America.  This month's theme is 3-D Stampin' Up! projects.

I am sharing my Wine Bottle Wraps as my project for this hop! 

Those of you who saw my last post, saw the table I did for Halloween with the Eat, Drink and be Scary bottle.  I did up two more in Christmas themes, but these are super simple and can be done for any occasion and bottle of liquor!!  

The lacing on these bottle wraps is what sets them apart a bit from just a bottle tag.

For the Halloween wrap - I used 

Whisper White cardstock -  4 1/2"  X  9"

Basic Black cardstock -   3 strips    3/4" X 9"  

I spaced out the black cardstock as stripes and adhered it to the white cardstock with liquid glue.

The Spooktacular Bash bundle was used make the little Eat, Drink and Be Scary - with a basic black scroll frame cut from the Ornate Frames Dies and a Whisper White sentiment stamped with black ink and adhered with liquid glue.  I wrapped this around the bottle as the glue was drying, holding the sentiment in place with the edges down to fit the rounded shape of the bottle. Once that was dry - it doesn't take to long, I punched three holes on each side in the black stripe and then laced it up with approximately 30" of Basic Black 3/8" scalloped edge Ribbon.

Each of these vary just slightly depending on the size of the bottle.  I like it two wrap around so that it covers the labels but still leaves a small gap for your lacing.

For the Wine Bottle Wrap with Eat, Drink and Have a Merry Christmas - I used:

Sahara Sand cardstock -   4 3/4"  X 9 1/2" 

Merry Merlot cardstock   4 1/2 "  X  9 1/2"
30" of Ribbon

From the Sip Sip Hooray Bundle I used the dotted die along both edges of the Merry Merlot piece and then adhered it with liquid glue to the Sahara Sand piece with a small border on both top and bottom.  I cut a circle of Sahara Sand - stamped it with the Swirly Frames just to give a little border to the circle, the sentiment is from the Cheers To That stamp set -   and also randomly stamped some of the dots  the Sip Sip Hooray Stamp - All in Merry Merlot ink.  With black ink I stamped two wine glasses and cut with them out with the coordinating dies.  I used my Stampin' Blends to color in a little wine in the glasses.  All this was adhered with liquid glue and again, held by cupping my hand around the curve of the bottle so that the edges stick down.  I three holes on each side making sure that they were punched in deep enough on the sections that there were two layers of cardstock.
The ribbon I used was  the Crumb Cake ribbon with a satin edge from the Come To Gather Ribbon Combo Pack, it is gorgeous ribbon to work with.

My big tip for these wraps is that you have two layers of paper at the point of where you lace up your wrap, one layer being cardstock.  This is so that the laces don't just pull out of the holes you have punched.  Also, make sure your holes are approximately 3/8" from the edge, again- so that the holes don't just rip out.

The Cheers Bottle I used:
Brightly Gleaming Specialty Designer Series Paper
The navy and copper geometric design paper - 5 1/4" X 9 1/4"
The navy and copper star paper - 2 1/2" X 9 1/4"
A scrap of Night of Navy to cut rectangle of 1 5/8" X 3 1/2"
and 2 strips of Night of Navy cardstock - 5 1/4 X 1"
a small piece of the Copper Foil paper to cut the word Cheers
30" of Ribbon
I adhered the two pieces of DSP with liquid glue centering the smaller piece on the bigger piece - on this wrap - since it was two pieces of DSP - I added the two strips of card stock to the back - so that when I punched the holes in the edge it would not rip out.  This photo shows the back and the 1" card stock strips added to the edges.

Then I adhered the rectangle, and finally the word Cheers with liquid glue and cupped it with my hand around the bottle until the edges were good and stuck.
I laced this up with the 1/2" Classic Weave Ribbon with the words Merry Christmas printed in copper that is in the Christmas Gleaming Suite.
I think this one is my favorite so far!!

As you can see in the photos - I used a bottle of liquor for the last  one, you can do this to just about any bottle and with lacing it up - it is a bit forgiving if the bottle is slightly tapered.

These wraps look great if you want to try to match the bottle up with your table setting as well as giving them as a gift.

We have sentiments and paper for every holiday!
I will be making one for Thanksgiving when I head over to my sister's house.  How about one for a new neighbor as a welcome to the neighborhood using the From Our House to Yours stamp set.
The possibilities are endless!!
