Welcome to the Summer addition of our Tablescape Hop! I am celebrating summer with lots of red, white and blue patterns and a cherry on top!
This hop is organized by our favorite table stylist, Rita from Panoply. I am thankful that she gathers all of us together for these table hops! It is always fun to celebrate the seasons with a pretty table.
There are 17 of us participating in the summer hop. All of the links will be at the bottom of my post,
Please give my fellow creative table enthusiasts some love!

My table is a fun mix of patterns full of fun for the summer.
Red, White and Blue with a cherry twist is the theme of my alfresco setting. I have worked hard staining my deck and building my potting bench to get this together for today's hop. The weather kept getting in the way of my staining project!! We had 18 days of rain this May!!

Oops! did you notice there were no cherries in the bowls in the last photo?! I was trying to take these photos before it started raining again - and I forgot to get my cherries out of the fridge and had taken a bunch of photos already.
There we go - now that I have the cherries in place we can talk about the flowers! They are a mix of white Hydrangeas, red and pink Dianthus. Erynigium or blue thistle, and Campanula - or bellflowers. I wish I could say they were from my garden - but no - I had made a trip up to have lunch with my girlfriend who happens to live near a Trader Joe's.

I love to mix my patterns!! as you can tell here where you can see the paisley tablecloth with striped placemats. These are actually the backside of the placemats that have strawberries on them - when I picked them up I didn't realize that I had fallen in love with the wrong side of the placemat - but they work this way!

Then even more pattern with the plates and napkins. Who doesn't like a good polka dot? I just think they are so cheerful! The stripe plate has a blue hydrangea in the middle of it. Then of course - the cherry plate on top!
And the napkins take care of that red check element that an outdoor picnic begs to have.
Here are the sources of the items I used:
Tablecloth -not sure - many years ago
Placemats - HomeGoods a couple of weeks ago
Rattan Chargers - Peir One -years ago
Red polka dot plates - Hobby Lobby in 2019
Blue stripe scallop plates - Kirklands this spring
Cherry scallop plates - HomeGoods this spring

Cherry Bowls - HomeGoods a couple of weeks ago
White Flatware - HomeGoods - many years ago
As you can see, I do reuse many of my items but
much thanks to my daughter and friends who have gifted me many HomeGoods gift cards to keep my tables fresh!
Time to see what all of the other table stylists have put together for their summer entertaining! Here are the links to all of those participating in this Hop.

I hope your summer is sunnier than it has been around here!
I wish you all the summer fun with cherries on top!!
Good morning Ann! I love your cherry twist on your red, white and blue themed table! I love your mix of patterns with the paisley, stripes, checks and polka dots! How serendipitous to have double sided placemats…you can trade in your cherries for strawberries for another table. π Your pitcher filled with pretty flowers is the cherry on top…oh to have a Trader Joe’s nearby, our closest one is an hour’s drive. Kudos to you for building your cute potting bench! I love the pretty aqua color and it can serve for entertaining purposes as well as gardening. We had a very wet month too, but not 18 days worth. ☔ As always, it’s a treat to join you at the table and hop with you. Happy June! π½️ππ
ReplyDeleteThis table is adorable! I love your plate stack, not just the colors, but those cherries really got to me. That plate on top is wonderful, and the glassware to match! Well done. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything like this. The trouble with looking at so many beautiful tablescapes like we do in these blogs is that I want everything!
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love your red, white, and blue table! The polka dot plates are so cute and look wonderful with the striped and cherry plates. Such a a fun take on a traditional RWB patriotic table. The paisley tablecloth and striped placemats are such a pretty base for the table.
ReplyDeleteWhat a charming table setting, Ann! The cherry plates are so cute and I love your beautiful floral centerpiece!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the summer EDITION! π
ReplyDeleteOh Ann, this table is so gorgeous and makes my heart sing! The paisley tablecloth pairs perfectly with the scalloped striped placemats. Your floral centerpiece is absolutely beautiful, and the cherry plates are precious. I know how daunting staining the deck can be. We purchased new stain last weekend and are planning to stain this weekend. It is always a treat to hop with you! Happy summer! Shannon@Belle Bleu Interiors
ReplyDeletePolka dots, stripes and cherries - I love it!! But what I really noticed first was your lovely centerpiece! And who doesn't enjoy a bowl of cherries? I would enjoy sitting at this table - Happy Summer
ReplyDeleteAnn, I LOVE your combination of tablecloth and placemats (even if they are upside down!) The beautiful paisley peeking out between the blue ticking is just fabulous! And your plate stacks are excellent! I’m so inspired by your mix of patterns and colors, and those cherry plates are adorable! Thank your daughter and friends from us for keeping your inspiration going! Always fun hopping with you! Happy Summer!
ReplyDeleteTotal cheerfulness with your red, white and blue with a cherry on top table! All your hard work paid off, Ann. It's really a happy table. Forget what I said about not being a fan of red. This table hits all the buttons in my "I want that" part of my tablescaping brain, lol. The plates, the placemats, the cute cherry plates....adorable. And those flowers are just spectacular. I so wish we had a TJ anywhere within 50 miles of me. One thing you didn't mention the source for and I just love - those napkin rings. They have a cool finished look to them. The pattern play makes my heart go pitter patter. I hope anyone who sees all this pattern play will take it as license to go out and be fearless. It makes such a unique look! Thanks for bringing your great style to our summer hop.
ReplyDeleteVery cute table Ann. Love your mix of paisley, plaid, checks and polka dots. Adorable cherry plates, especially with a bow of cherries.π the plate stack is so fun with all of the patterns. The florals look lovely in your white pitcher. Kudos to you on your potting bench. Love the aqua color. Always a pleasure hopping along with you.
ReplyDeleteThis table is so adorable. I love the patriotic colors, and the cherries are the very cutest. I would love to find the plates, but I bet they've sold out by now. Your glasses are so cute, too. I like how the blue and white striped plates sort of break-up the red in your plate stacks. I really like them! And of course the bowl full of cherries is just the best. Happy summer!
ReplyDeleteAnn, your table is full of charm. I love pattern mixing and you did it to perfection. The plate stack is fabulous and the cherry plates are darling. Your floral arrangement is beautiful, I love the dianthus. Building a potting bench is no small feat. It looks wonderful and the color is lovely! It is always a treat to visit one of your creative tables. Happy Summer!
