Sunflower blooms and bees are plentiful this time of year around northeast Ohio,
so, I made them the theme of my late summer tablescape for Chloe Crabtree's tablescape hop this week! This is a wonderful way to bow out of summer and go gracefully into fall.
Join us in celebrating the end of summer with some beautiful tables. Each day this week there will be 4 or 5 new tables designed by some wonderful table stylist. I started with a sunny buffalo checked table cloth to set the mood. My sunflowers sure speak to a sunny, cheerful mood as well.
I love these little melamine bee plates! I have a nice stack of different melamine picnic plates now and we use them all the time. We have quite a few impromptu get together after golf or after a day on the boat and these are perfect to pull out for a quick bite to eat. Reusable plates are a nice way to save on all the waste with paper plates.
Honestly, it doesn't take long to wash up a pile of these. And when they are so cute, it makes it a lot more fun!
I have had people dig through the stack and look for their favorite design!
The honeycomb one is my favorite of these bee plates.
I made some little sunflowers to adorn my napkins. I used my
Stampin' Up! Daisy punches( there are two sizes, large and a
medium) I just made the centers big brown circles, added some texture, then added some greenery with some leafy die cuts.
I found some honey candy that would work perfectly for a little favor for the table,
so I made up four little sunflower boxes.
We have a couple of sunflower events going on around us in the next week or two, one at a local winery, another at a farm. I hope to get to them before the flowers are done.

Ann, that is super cute with all your bee plates and added sunflower accessories. I couldn't agree with you more on how easy those melamine plates are, especially for summer, and I love how your guests like going through them. This is a perfect transitional tablescape, with the sunflowers holding onto to summer and hints of brown leaning toward to fall.

ReplyDeleteAnn, as always, I delight in your tablescape arrangements. I am such a fan of checks and plaids and yellow and white checked tablecloths make my heart sing. The bee theme is so adorable and charming. I would also find it difficult to pick one of my favorites among the bee plates. I love them all. I love your party favor of honey candy topped with such a beautiful sunflower cut-out. The honeycomb candle is such a cute touch. Delightful and whimsy. Perfect for a happy summer, but it makes for a cheerful and inspiring tablescape any time of the year.

I was also inspired by nature with a bees and sunflowers theme when I shared my late summer breakfast nook last week, and also for this week's tablescape. Ann, the sunflowers are such a happy flower to brighten your table. The variety of plates is so interesting for your table. The paper sunflowers are so cute. I love making embellishments like that with my Cricut. Enjoy your golf game!!

My favorite is the all white with bees. I always enjoy your paper crafts. How clever to put honey candies inside your favor boxes! I also love the rattan glass holders that match the chargers.
