Fall Tablescape- Mixing Some Blues In

I am so happy to be back with my Tablescaping friends with a new Fall Tablescape Blog Hop!!

🍂🍁🍂🍁🍂🍁🍂🍁🍂🍁
Thank you to Rita from Panoply for organizing this hop for us.
All the links to all of the talented table stylist's will be listed at the end of my post
🍂🍁🍂🍁🍂🍁🍂🍁🍂🍁
I have put together a lot of naturals with shades of tan and denim blue for my fall table.
The patterned dessert plates were my jumping off point.  I found these on clearance at Kirklands a couple of weeks ago. The blue salad plates were also a clearance item at Kirklands but purchased much earlier.
Hobby Lobby had the wood plates, and I waited until they were 40% off. Even though most of these were clearance items - I thought they came together beautifully for a nice fall look.
Even the napkins and the placemat I used in the middle of the table were clearance items!!  These were found in the clearance barn two years ago at my favorite store, The Peddler in Walnut Creek, Ohio.
I put together some fall floral stems in a weaved wrapped bottle and tied a blue denim ribbon around the neck of the bottle for my centerpiece. Some scattered leaves and acorns on top of my clearance placemat frame the arrangement.
I chose some bark like napkin rings and my wood handled flatware from Ikea.
I made favor boxes with from the Stampin' Up! Pretty Pillow Box Dies to complement the pattern in the dessert plates.  The blue candles were embellished with die cut leaves using the Intricate Leaves Dies.
I decided to keep these little touches simple yet, hopefully, classy!!

In the past few years my interests have grown from fabric to paper and now to dishes too! I just love prints, polkadots, plaids and paisleys- hence the blog name.

  1. Ann, I love your denim blues and tans woven together at the table! Your wood elements from your napkin rings, chargers and flatware are perfectly paired with your centerpiece with the wrapped bottle, wheat, acorns and harvest elements. I love your handsome amber stemware and of course your pretty pillow treat boxes too! As always it’s a treat to join you at the table. Happy Tuesday ♥

  3. Isn't it interesting how it just takes one item to get you going on a tablescape? Your pretty dessert plates are the perfect way to blend the amber and blue for fall! You continued that combination beautifully across your entire table! I love a favor, too, and yours are so sweet! It is always nice to give something guests don't have to hold onto, we all have more than we need! Bravo1

  4. These colors remind me of wearing jeans in the fall! Something I always look forward to. I love the little wooden bases under the candles - are the individual cutting boards? Very cute

  7. Ann, I always look forward to your tablescapes, and this one is especially pretty with the blues and ambers worked throughout. Plus the center piece with dried grasses is something I would love to have on my side table in the living room. Love all that texture!

  14. Very classy, Ann! Wow! I don't know what it was when you mentioned to me early in the process you thought your were lacking, because this table looks totally dressed to the nines to me. We don't have a Kirkland's anywhere local, but I love both sets of those plates you found. I need those blue plates in my life (found a similar set online I'd been watching, but haven't pulled the trigger). I had to look up the Peddler and will most definitely hit that store next time we're in Amish country (hopefully soon)! I really like your take on fall with your tans and denim blue. Really sharp, and your Stampin' Up favors match your plate pattern perfectly!
It's always a pleasure having your company on these hops. I'm grateful for your participation and what you [literally] bring to the table!

  15. I LOVE this table, Ann! The tan and denim color scheme is perfect for early Fall. It's such a thrill to find items on clearance, especially when they inspire your whole look! I adore the rustic dried florals in the woven bottle. The wooden accents in your plates, flatware, napkin rings and cutting boards give it a nice fall woodsy vibe. The favor boxes also coordinate so well with the salad plates! It's always a pleasure to join you on the hops. Pinned!

  16. Ann, I think blues are a great way to transition to fall, especially denim shades which call back to the casual feel of summer tables. While all the natural elements - wood, bark, leaves and acorns - point towards the fall to come. Having the wood table show is a lovely base for the natural elements. And I love the amber glassware!

  18. Ann, I love the blue paired with the neutral autumn colours! Dried floral arrangements are on point for fall, and I love how you have arranged them in this wicker wrapped vase. The plates are so pretty! Kirklands is one of my favourite places to visit when we cross the border and I am looking forward to when we can do it again! Happy to be sharing in this blog hop with you :)
