I like to set a St. Patrick's Day table every year.
But what I don't like is all the plastic shamrocks and gold glitter that are in the stores for St. Patrick's Day decorations. I find them kind of tacky!!
Since green is my favorite color, it is easy for me to focus on the color.
I love this plate stack! Each of these plates were purchased at completely different times, but they look so nice together.
A big shout-out to my brother-in-law, Dave! He went out of his way on a recent vacation just so my sister and I could hit a HomeGoods!! I ended up carting the dinner plates home in my carry-on luggage for the flight home!
I purchased the green floral dessert plates with the border last spring, and I have had the little appetizer plates for a couple of years. It is fun when things come together so well without really planning it.
These placemats have always reminded me of a cream wool cable knit Irish sweater. They paired nicely with the leafy green tablecloth I had in my stash.
I used some natural woods with the flatware and the centerpiece riser. The woven look on the napkin rings and the centerpiece pot also adds texture.
The centerpiece is a mix of kale, mini carnations, and some faux green cluster things that I have no idea what they are - but I thought they added something!!
I think one of the reasons why I enjoy setting a St. Patrick's Day table is because it is a sign that spring is coming soon!!
