Welcome to my Valentine Tablescape! I have a cottage rose theme to celebrate the wonderful ladies in my neighborhood!

I am joining my dear tablescaping friends for a Valentine's Tablescape Hop. We were all brought together by the wonderful Rita, of Panoply, to show off a table to celebrate the ones we love.
There will be links to 17 other tables at the end of my post! So grab a cup of coffee, sit back, and enjoy some loveliness!

I wanted to create a little ode to my lovely friends in my new neighborhood for this Valentine's table.
I am not normally a fancy girl! I set this table wearing jeans and a plaid flannel shirt!
Living by myself now, I am gravitating towards more pinks and feminine things.
When I saw this cottage rose print tablecloth sitting all by itself at our TJ Maxx, my thought was to take it home and make something pretty with it. It reminded me of this journal prompt I pinned on Pinterest:
OK! Back to the table and my lovely neighbors!
Honestly, the ladies in my neighborhood are so kind, welcoming, funny, and encouraging!
This tablecloth sang ladies' day to me, and I wanted to complement it with more pretty things to enjoy a nice lunch with a few neighbors.
Although the lunch may have to wait until after this huge snowstorm we are supposed to have!
By that time, I am sure my roses will be dead! They didn't look too good here!
Good thing the napkin rings are faux!
I purchased these plates and the napkin rings from Amazon. I am not a huge Amazon shopper, but when the weather isn't good, I tend to stick close to home, and we have limited shopping close by.
I was thrilled with both purchases. There are 4 different rose plates in the set.
The napkin rings are much nicer than I expected!
They went perfectly with these napkins I had with the delicate white trim.
I don't really own any fine china - I always oooh and aawwe over the ladies that I blog with who own some beautiful china. I made do with the ceramic dishes I had in my stash.

I made some little cottage favor boxes for each place setting to go with the cottage rose theme!
They were made from cardstock and the 3D Little House die from The Stamp Market.

I adorned the houses with a little wreath, hearts, and a bow. I am in love with this bow die - it is from the Greetery, one of my favorite online craft supply places to shop! Of course, they are filled with Dove dark chocolates!!
Speaking of card supplies, I was able to spend a day with one of my favorite card makers, Chris. She and I experimented with decorating cookies just before Christmas. Chris had taken a class and was sharing her knowledge with me, as I had never attempted it before. We had a blast, did a lot of laughing, and I learned a lot from Chris; she has an incredible amount of patience!! My Valentine cookies are just my second attempt at royal icing - this time doing it solo.

Go grab a cookie to go with that coffee and check out all of the other bloggers participating in this hop!
It is so fun to see what everyone else has come up with!

I think I had better package up my cookies before I eat them all! I saved a few blank ones to decorate with my grandsons. Theirs will be with icing and sprinkles, though, something a little simpler and not so pink!

I hope you all have a lovely Valentine's Day ❤️

Good morning Ann, So pretty, pink and feminine! I love the cottage rose tablecloth you found and I have the same set of Gracie China floral salad plates. Your plates look so pretty framed with the pink plates and green leaf placemats atop your floral tablecloth. Your rose napkin rings look so real and your coordinating cottage favor boxes are darling... I love the heart wreath detail and bow. Your cookies are so impressive and professional looking with your flooding and royal icing details! Love the photo with your hutch accessorized for your table. As always, it’s a treat to join you at the table and hop with you. Hope you’re staying warm & cozy. ❄️❤️
ReplyDeleteAnn, oh I love all of your pretty-in-pink details--what a sweet way to celebrate your friends and the cookies are divine! Stay warm!
ReplyDeletePerfection... my favorite. You blended the colors and patterns beautifully and reached out to your viewers with a feeling of harmony of scale, proportion, layering and beauty. I love this tablescape and hope to replicate it :)
ReplyDeleteAnn, I LOVE your table. Plus I was so excited to see your little favor boxes again. I have missed them from your last few tablescapes. You have such a talent for that sort of thing and I was smiling as you described them. (Welcome back dear friend) AND your cookie decorating makes me envious. My icing is never quite right...too thick or too thin and I have to scrape it off and start over. 🥰. Good job and I am sure your new friends will love them, provided (as you said) the weather cooperates. I am also glad to see you are looking to trying and doing new things as you move on with this chapter of your journey in life. I have to confess I am an Amazon junkie, right down to ordering a special ketch-up from my childhood...hopefully the ketch-up isn't that old when I receive it. LOL Lovely table, ...stay warm and keep the lights on! ❤️🥰❤️
ReplyDeleteOK, I think I need to visit The Stamp Market because I am really intrigued by those little cottage favor boxes that you made. They are adorable! Everything here is so pretty and girly. The plates and napkin rings are particularly lovely. Amazon has a lot of really wonderful things. You can fall down that rabbit hole and never come out.
ReplyDeleteThis is so sweet and romantic and girlie!! The rose napkin rings are beautiful. And those cookies!! I think i could live on cookies alone (my all time favorite food!). Happy Valentine's Day
ReplyDeleteAnn, pretty in pink! This table is so inviting and filled with beauty. Your decorated heart cookies are perfect. It's a lot of time and effort involved in decorated cookies. Kudos! The little treat boxes are so cute. Lucky grandsons to savor those cookies. Happy Valentine's Day!
ReplyDeleteI knew when I read the title of your post that I would love your table, and I do! I love cottage roses, and they are well represented on your tablecloth and pretty plates. I also love pink and green together: The leaf placemats are the perfect complement to the pink elements on your table. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteLunch with the neighborhood ladies sounds delightful and they will be delighted with this lovely feminine table setting. Cottage Style is one of my favorites and starting with your tablecloth you have brought that style to life. Love the so pretty floral plates used in your plate stack. Your desserts look delicious and even if the roses fade, your table will still shine. Have a Happy Valentine's Day!

Ann, I adore your charming table in one of my favorite color combos of pink and green! The cottage rose tablecloth would have immediately jumped into my cart. It is so very feminine with the floral plates. The cottage favor boxes are adorable. You did an outstanding job on the cookies, very professional. Your grandsons will be thrilled to decorate and enjoy eating the cookies. I hope you are staying warm and cozy!
ReplyDeleteAnn, this is such a sweet table for celebrating new neighbors! Cottage roses are a great inspirational theme and the pastels are a much-needed lift for mid-February. The little cottage houses are a perfect accompaniment at each place setting -- especially since they're filled with chocolates! I would never have guessed this was your first time making the heart cookies and decorating them with such intricate designs. The pink ribbon through the pedestal plate is lovely and the vintage (I assume) stemware is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteAnn, a pretty in pink table I love. The floral cottage rose tablecloth you bought from TJMaxx is so pretty. The plate stack is lovely with the green and those beautiful dishes. Your pink roses mimic the darling rose napkin rings. They do not look faux. I adore your sweet little cottages you created as party favors. Your cookies look so professionaI, kudos to you. I always enjoy seeing your hutch decorated to match. always a pleasure joining you at the table.
ReplyDeleteThis is so beautiful Ann! I love the Cottage Rose theme, and all of the detail. The favors are so adorable, and your cookies are wonderful! And they remind me of the fun day with the Christmas cookies!!
ReplyDeleteAnn, so delightfully sweet!!!!! I am so glad you grabbed that one and only darling tablecloth to make something pretty with. You did exactly that......created a precious, almost fairy-tale pink and white tablescape. Your little treat box in the shape of a cozy cottage house with a cherished bow is heart warming. Your cookies are a work of art, just too pretty to eat. I love your coordinated cupboard also in the room. My life is far from frilly and dainty, so I really enjoy the sweetness of this delicate pink and white table. It has an almost child-like charm and takes me back to happy days as a little girl. I hope you enjoy cookie decorating with your grandchildren and stay nice and warm. It truly is so cold in Wisconsin and might be perfect for baking and decorating cookies too. Happy Valentine's Day.
ReplyDeleteAnn, I love how you're settling into your girly desires of the heart in your new home! The floral dishes and napkin rings you've added to your dish stash are SO pretty! I love the combination of the pink and grey and white. The floral centerpiece is gorgeous, and those little cardstock place cards are adorable with the wreath and bow embellishments. What a great job you did with the cookie decorating! I thought those were a Sam's Club cookie, as I just bought some decorated similarly - very professional! It's awesome that you have a new circle of girlfriends. You deserve that! Thank you for joining the blog hop. I love the cottage style you bring to the table and our hops!
ReplyDeleteAnn, pink is my absolute favorite color and you have styled it to perfection here on your table! The tablecloth from TJ Maxx was a great find and a wonderful base for your plate stack. The cottage rose salad plates, napkins, and pink-flowered napkin rings are so pretty. Love the centerpiece and the cottage favor boxes are adorable. You did a fantastic job on the cookies. The lunch ladies are going to love love all this. Wishing you a wonderful Valentine's Day!
ReplyDeleteAnn, this is such a beautiful cottage-romantic Valentine’s table — the rose motif feels timeless and so perfectly suited to your style. I love the soft layering of florals and textures, which gives everything that warm, gathered-over-time charm. It feels feminine, welcoming, and effortlessly cozy — like a table meant for lingering conversations. So lovely hopping along with you!
