Ann @ Corner of Plaid and Paisley
In the past few years my interests have grown from fabric to paper and now to dishes too! I just love prints, polkadots, plaids and paisleys- hence the blog name.

Welcome

Hi, I am Ann, a self proclaimed dish hoarder. I have a penchant for anything plaid, polka dot, or paisley. I love mixing patterns and colors. This has evolved into paper projects as well. I created this page as a way to share my inspiration and ideas with others! I find myself starting a new chapter in life at 65!! I am so grateful to the support of my children and my friends who have been by my side. I look forward to many more years of creative endeavors and hope to share more with you in the future! Thanks for stopping by :)

I LOVE Fiji and Franklin! They actually look like a couple I know. The table is suitably spooky, and I love the little baskets that you have at each place setting.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! Fifi and Franklin are my new favorite couple! I love your whimsical table Ann!
ReplyDeleteAnn, if this is something new to you, I absolutely love your fun and whimsical table. Fifi and Franklin are a hoot! Love Fifi's look.I wear a lot of leopard print...ha ha. The candle holders and bowl are darling. where did you find those treasure? Love the bows, on glasses, trays, etc. The plates are so pretty. You have knocked this table out of park. I want to be your guest. I love the sweet little leopard purses you crafted. Always a pleasure to join you.
ReplyDeleteLinda, I found the candle holders at Marshalls and the bowl at TJ Maxx - separate shopping trips!! You should have seen my face when I found the bowl that matched!! Like a kid in a candy store!!
DeletePerfect Ann...just perfect. I love the leopard purses filled with retro goodies....I recognize those items...how old does that make me? LOL I have to admit my closet is full of leopard print from dresses, skirts, purses, jackets, blouses and scarfs. I love to pair leopard with camels, blacks and browns. Perhaps that is a suggestion for Fifi. Franklin is lookin' pretty good considering he is glued together of sorts...he is well preserved. What a fun table and I am glad to see you having fun. Always fun to blog hop with you. π₯°πππ»πΏ️π½️π Kari @ Me and My Captain
ReplyDeleteGhoulish glamour, indeed! I love your cute sartorial theme. The purses are the cutest! The candy is really taking me back to my childhood. I used to love the wax bottle candy drinks: They were my favorite! I also like the neon colors on your table, too. I miss the 80s so much! Happy Halloween!
ReplyDeleteAnn, you had fun with this table. Fifi and Franklin are a charming couple. I have always been a fan of leopard print. I have a leopard rug in my family room. The candle holders and bowl are unique and fun. The crafted leopard purses are the perfect finishing touch. I am sure they are Fifi approved! I enjoyed taking a seat at your fun table! Happy October!
ReplyDeleteAnn, what fun it is to meet Fifi and Franklin. I smiled reading your darling post. I love the scalloped plates and the touches of leopard. Great job! Happy Halloween!
ReplyDeleteAnn, Fifi Marrow and Franklin P. Stein make spooktacular hosts for your Halloween table! Love your creative spirit and touches with your tray of potion bottles and leopard print accents and bows. You coordinated your candy to match your bowl and fantastic candleholders perfectly. Love how you accessorized the purse and where on earth did you find those candy cigarettes?…too perfect for Fifi! Your addition of the leopard scrapbook paper is so smart and affordable too. Thanks so much for the Halloween fun this morning. It’s always a treat to have a seat at your table. Wishing you a wonderful October!π½️ππ§‘
ReplyDeleteOh Ann.....I love your table with FiFi and Franklin. They are so incredibly adorable along with the good bowl and hands candlesticks. I noticed your scalloped plates and bow stemware. I have seen these at TJ Maxx and wanted to purchase them myself, but my overflowing inventory or collection of dinnerware did not allow me to buy one more thing. I am so glad you did, though. They are absolutely gorgeous for this table and any other table. Your humorous table and story is awesome for Halloween and children and adults alike will relish in the fun!!!! So fashionable. I am so glad Fifi could display her fashion sense--the leopard print bag is so "in". Happy Halloween Ann and enjoy your time with your new guests Fifi and Franklin.
ReplyDeleteAnn, these two hosts are hilariously hip for this hop. Every time i see or wear leopard, I think of my mother (RIP), and she would've loved all the detail here. I don't know where you found these very cool elements that you didn't create yourself (which, btw, those are awesome), but the whole table is a real hoot. I can see a really fun girls' party happenin' here, making up pickup lines for Franklin to Mia, or vice versa. Thanks so much for bringing the ghoulish glamour to the hop with your participation!
ReplyDeleteHa, ha, "Franken-fine!" This is all such spooky fun Ann! The candlesticks are amazing! Such a genius idea to use the leopard print paper for the plate you wanted. The Halloween party favors are so cute, what a delightful treat! Love it all!!
ReplyDeleteJenna
Ann, I must say you have created a mighty Frankin-fine table here! Fifi and Franklin make a delightful couple even if she is secretly rolling her eyes at his pick-up line. Love the names btw lol and all her bowed accessories. The plate stack is so pretty with the pop of orange from the salad plate and the candle holders, matching bowl, and bowed stemware are just fab. Love it all and especially the darling purse favors filled with vintage candy. If you decide to have a Gal-oween gathering, your guests will be so impressed. Happy Halloween!
