We have had a few days of slightly cooler weather here, just perfect to get us all in the fall mood. Football season has started and it is time to dig out the flannel!! This is my favorite time of the year!

It is also time to join my Tablescaping Group for a fall table. I hope you are ready for some fabulous inspiration from all of my blogging friends because we have 15 wonderful tables to share! All of the links will be at the end of my post. Much thanks to Rita from Panoply for organizing these hops.

Of course. with a name like Corner of Plaid and Paisley I had to go with the full on fall plaid for the tablecloth! When I saw these dishes, they gave me a paisley vibe with some nice fall colors.
Since the weather had been so warm here until a couple of days ago, none of the fall plants or flower were in the stores yet - so I went with more of a dried stems centerpiece.
I used my giant wood charcuterie board as the base of my centerpiece with some faux fall leaves and a few oversized acorns.
The dinner plate and bowls are from a set by Goodness & Grace called Amadora Garden. I found them in a little specialty shop in Ohio's Amish Country.
I like using a lot of textured items for fall - like my faux wood chargers and the textured rim tealish green salad plates I popped in the middle of the plate stack.
Wood handled flatware and wood napkin rings add to that natural feel.
My little chipmunk is eyeing those big acorns!!
I love the rustic look of the earthenware pot and the acorns with the textured caps.
I decided to try a new recipe for the season, baked pears! They turned out beautiful, very tasty and yet so easy to make!!

Although, my bowls were a bit big for my one pear, these are pretty robust with the feta cheese so I feel like a half of a pear is a good serving size.

I hope you enjoyed my table and recipe.
Now it is time to check out all of the other tables joining in on the hop! Or if you have been following along all this time- just one more!!

Sweater weather is my favorite!! I can't wait to get my mums and pumpkins out on the front porch.
I am wishing you a beautiful autumn season with a lot of your favorite things like pumpkin spice lattes, apple cinnamon donuts or the scent of a toasted pecan candle wafting through your home!!
Ann, your layered plates and floral and plaid pairings are charming and I adore that wooden squirrel! Happy almost fall to you!
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful china, Ann – your plate stack is lovely! I also LOVE your gorgeous color combination, and of course, the plaid! You did a fabulous job with the centerpiece it really does tie it all together. Those baked pears sound fabulous – I can’t wait to try them! We have baskets and baskets of pears from our tree this year, and we’ve been looking for some new recipes to use them up. This has just jumped to the top of the list! Thanks for the recipe and the beautiful table inspiration! Hope you have a great fall!
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous mix of pattern and plaid, Ann! You're so fortunate to live close enough to Amish country to shop. It's an overnight destination for us (Sugar Creek). Love the pattern on the dishes and the insert teal plate among the stack. Given the richness of the pear recipe (sounds really, really good), I do believe the dish for serving elevates its status to looking very multi-course and chef-like! Beautiful centerpiece of dried stems and faux foliage on the charcuterie board. Love the earthenware pot too. It all is so very well done. Thank you for joining again and making this welcome fall blog hop part of its success!
ReplyDeleteAnn, absolutely love your plate stack. Your dishes are so pretty. What a great find in the Amish shop. Love the pop of color of teal added. The plaid is a favorite for fall and your stunning centerpiece of dried stems. The wood flatware and napkin rings coordinate nicely. Such a cute little chipmunk and acorns. Happy September. Always a pleasure hopping along with you.
ReplyDeleteAnn your tables never disappoint. I love everything about it. The plaid tablecloth and earthenware pot with dried stems and of course the acorns tie together beautifully. (Love the chipmonk too). I will be making your pear recipe. Pears are a favorite of mine but it seems there are not a lot of recipes for them so this one will go into my recipe tin. Your plate stack is a wonderful mix of Fall colors. I especially love the Goodness and Grace dinner plate and bowl. There are very few Amish settlements close to me, so I envy your being able to shop regularly. I wish you a happy September and an even better October. π₯°πΏ️πππ»ππ
