Summer Sunflower Table

 Hi all, it's just me!  I am sharing a fun little summer table I set on my deck this week.

If you know me well, you know that I love Sunflowers!!  They make me smile.  I think daisies and

 sunflowers are happy flowers.

I bought this tablecloth last summer - I did not have the potting bench yet- I think I bought a potting bench to match my table cloth!!  Every time I looked at potting benches - I kept coming back to this colored one-mostly so that it showed up against my stained deck wall.  Little did I know it was going to match so well with the table cloth I had packed away.

I pulled some plates from my stash to compliment the colors in the table cloth.

These yellow plates with the beehive pattern and the embossed bees on the edge are some of my favorites.  

The crock that I used as my vase matches the plates with that beehive texture.

These cute little sunflower napkin rings are a recent HomeGoods find,

I used my bamboo flatware that kind of sings summer  - along with rattan chargers,  pitcher and drinking cups that are casual favorites. 

With all the focus on the table- I did want to show you what I did to dress up the downspout in the corner of my deck.

Since you can never have enough sprinkling cans or pitchers -everyone and everything should stay nice and hydrated for the summer!

My summer has been full of baseball games, trips to the parks and zoo. I have enjoyed many quiet evenings, as well, just watching the fireflies on my back deck.  It is so peaceful, it's these simple things that bring me joy.

I think it is time for drinks on the deck with a couple of neighborhood friends!
