Paper Florist Dies - OSAT Mix It Up Blog Hop

Welcome to Corner of Plaid and Paisley where I have made some projects for the One Stamp at a Time Blog Hop with the Paper Florist Dies.

The theme of this month's OSAT blog hop is Mix It Up - Pattern mixing & layers.

I included some different textures, a bit of plaid and lots of florals for my card and gift box.

I have used the color pallet of Blackberry Bliss, Old Olive, Berry Burst and Wild Wheat.

The Paper Florist Dies are a set of stand alone dies - they are easy to miss in the Annual Catalog, but they can be found on page 33 or 165.  Some of the pieces are cut out of the color card stock and some are cut from Basic White card stock that has been inked with the different colors using my Blending Brushes.

I used the Exposed Brick 3D embossing folder on the ripped layer of Wild Wheat and the Artistic Mix Decorative Masks on the Old Olive background.  I also used the Stitched with Whimsy on the Old Olive layer for that little border.  I splattered the card with using one of my Water Painters and white ink.  The sentiment is from the Let's Go Shopping stamp set and the die for the sentiment is from the Cracker & Treat Box Dies.

For my 3D project I made a basic gift box and embellished it to match my card.

These photos makes the white platter look like a lot - when in reality - It does not look quite that splattered!!

I enjoyed working with this new die set and look forward to playing with it some more.

I am excited to see what the other creative paper crafters have come up with, let's check them out!!

In the past few years my interests have grown from fabric to paper and now to dishes too! I just love prints, polkadots, plaids and paisleys- hence the blog name.

  4. Stunning! I am one of the odd ducks that is in love with wild wheat. Your projects make the most of this golden, earthy hue. Thank you for sharing!
