Vellum Hearts Valentine Card for Crafty Collaborations' Valentine's Day Blog Hop

Welcome to Corner of Plaid and Paisley, Where today I am showing off a slim line Valentine's Day card!

I am sharing this card in the Crafty Collaborations' Valentine's Day Blog Hop

There is a lot of texture on this card which allows for a simple color pallet - Basic White and Flirty Flamingo!  I used one of my Water Painters to apply ink to a block and then smushed the ink onto some Basic White cardstock to get the blotchy ink look on the back ground of the heart squares.
Once dry, those squares were then run through the Tasteful Textiles 3D embossing folder.
I also ran the background through the Timeworn Type embossing folder.   Since this is a longer piece I had to run one end first - then a second time for the other end.

The ribbon across the back of the the three squares is White 3/4" Frayed Ribbon, in which I did just that -  frayed a bit on either end.  I cut the Vellum hearts from the Vellum 12X12" Layering Designs specialty paper with one of the hearts the Sweet Hearts Dies (from the Sweet Conversations Bundle).

The sentiment is done with white embossing powder and from the Ranunculus Romance Stamp Set - then cut with a die from the Ornate Frames die set. I popped on a few of the Iridescent Rhinestone Jewels to finish it off.    I stamped a few hearts on the Smoky Slate Slimline envelope and she is ready to go!

I hope you liked my Valentine Card! Now it is on to see what all of the other talented cards makers have come up with!
