OSAT Blog Hop Ghouls' Night Out Card and Treat Box

Happy Halloween!!

I am taking part in the One Stamp at a Time Ghouls' Night Out Blog Hop!

We will all be sharing one card and one 3D project, all the links will be at the bottom of my post so you can see what everyone has created.
My fun Halloween card was created by combining the Welcome Window Die set and the Clever Cats Stamp set.
I wanted to give my window a little haunted house feel with the crooked shutter!

Here are the details:
  • the base is Basic Black Card stock with a layer of the Cute Halloween 6x6 DSP with all the Boos!
  • A layer of Smokey Slate Card stock -  4 3/4 x 3 1/2"
  • The next layer is the almost solid blackish DSP piece from the Cute Halloween DSP run through the Brick and Mortar 3D embossing folder  - 4 1/2 x 3 1/4"
  • I cut the window frame and shutters from Smokey Slate and the hardware from Basic Black with the Window Flower Box Dies
  • I used my Blending Brush with Bumble Bee and a tiny bit of Pumpkin Pie ink on Basic White cardstock and the just cut it to size to make the back side of the window - and stamped the little spider making sure he will fit into a window pane before I glued the window frame onto it.
  • I stamped my black cat on Basic White Cardstock and fussy cut him out and attached him with Dimensionals.

For my little treat box - I had bought some eyeball gum balls- that I was going to use on my Halloween Tablescape - see here - but I had used the Stampin' Up! Tombstone Treat Boxes on my table and you could not see through the Tombstones (I could have made a window - but it wasn't the look I was going for with the table) So I knew I wanted to use a clear box and use the eyeball gum balls for this treat box.
Here are the details:
  • I filled my acetate box with a little bit of black paper shred and my eyeball gum balls
  • cut several  1" strips of the Cute Halloween 6 x 6 DSP paper and adhered them together to form one long strip that would wrap around my box and used my Stampin' Blends to color in the candy corn on the DSP.
  • I cut two long strips of Daffodil  Delight Card stock using the small zig zag die in the Basic Borders die set  - moving the die down and cut again for a continuous strip and adhered those to each side of the DSP.
  • I wrapped it around my box -trimmed and adhered it with some Stampin' Seal+.
  • The tag is cut with the tag from the Pretty Pillow Box Dies and stamped with the Boo from theTime of Giving stamp set.
  • My bow was made with the Black 3/8" Glittered Organdy Ribbon and I made it like I make a wreath bow - back and forth with several loops then tied with a silver twist tie, The tag and bow were adhered with two glue dots.

In the past few years my interests have grown from fabric to paper and now to dishes too! I just love prints, polkadots, plaids and paisleys- hence the blog name.
