Happy Easter - Celebrating with my 2021 Easter Tablescape

Welcome to our Easter Tablescape Hop!!  I am sharing my Easter table with everyone today in anticipation of the blessed day.

I would like to thank Chloe of Design & Decorate for putting this hop together.  She may not be doing any more hope in the future - but I am hoping that this will not be the last one!

I have enjoyed doing Chloe's hops for years now, and I will really miss them.  Again, much thanks to Chloe for all her hard work putting these hops together over the years.
All the links for many talented table stylist will be listed at the end of my post, be sure and check out all of the other beautiful Easter Tables!

I chose purple and chocolate as my theme this year.
I have never been a big purple person, but this just appealed to me this year.  Maybe it has something to do with being home for over a year now and not getting out much - I am starting to tolerate a lot more!
Because this looks like a lot of purple here!!
But when you step back and look at the table it looks a bit better.

I have a very hard time taking photos on a bright sunny day because of the big doors out to our deck letting in so much light, but this is one of the reasons we bought this house was because of all of the light that comes into this big open room.  And right now - we welcome any sun that we get!!
I found these leaf round placemats years ago at Kirklands on clearance, one of those lucky finds for dirt cheap!  I have had the purple stemware since I started tablescaping years and years ago - I just recently "found" them again in the back of my cupboard while I was cleaning out some old dishes.
The purple plates, napkins and placemats were new this year from a trip to Hobby Lobby trying to find some fabric for an awning in my craftroom - didn't find the fabric I wanted - but came out of the store with all this purple!!  It must have been something I ate that day!!

This Easter seems a bit more joyous as many of our family and friends have received their Covid Vaccination Shots and we will be able to socialize a little more by Easter!
My bunnies are hard at work getting everything ready!!
They can't wait to see everyone!!

In the past few years my interests have grown from fabric to paper and now to dishes too! I just love prints, polkadots, plaids and paisleys- hence the blog name.

  1. Ann, I love all the purple at your table, it’s not too much for me! The addition of the chocolate bunnies and green leafy mats and your green scale with chocolate eggs is so appealing. I always love a glimpse of how you’ve carried your theme through to your mantel and beyond in your home. Love the bunny plates on the wall and sweet bird’s nests too! I envy all that sunlight. We’re looking at a very wet and soggy week here! As always it’s a pleasure to join you at the table. ♥

  2. Ann, first word that came to mind when I opened this post - striking beauty! I love the purple and chocolate combination. I don't know what was your springboard for inspiring this - the tulips, the textiles or the plates, but it is all gorgeous! That view from your great room couldn't be any better, especially with that sunshine. Tablescaping brought us together, and I'm pretty certain tablescaping will keep us together. We will make it happen, friend. Happy Spring!

  3. I LOVE the purple Ann! So pretty with the chocolate and soft greens. The plate stack and checked napkins look wonderful and the white flatware is perfect! Your table feels like Spring has sprung, and I love the sunny view out over the lake. So glad you'll be able to gather with family, this Spring is really full of hope and new beginnings this year. I too am sad Chloe is retiring from our hops, but oh so grateful for all she's done. The egg nests and chocolate bunnies are darling. Happy Spring and Easter!

  4. Ann, I personally think purple and Easter go together, kinda like peanut butter and jelly. Seriously, the purple is not too much, I love it with the chocolate. I love your plate stack and the scale with chocolate eggs. The sun streaming in is so lovely with your view of the lake! I am so glad you will be gathering with family, we all need that! I just know we can keep the tablescape hops together. It is a pleasure to join you at table...Happy Easter!

  5. Ann, I love the purple with your chocolate bunnies. My husband's favorite color is purple. it is refreshing. The plate stack is charming with those lovely checked napkins. The sweet little nest with eggs is so cute. The tulips are beautiful and they remind me of spring. I love seeing your bunny plates on the wall close by. Always a pleasure to see your lovely tables Ann. I am sure the tablescape blog hops will continue with one of us or more to take over. Happy Spring.

  6. Ann, Your table is lovely and not at all too purple! I have always felt that purple and yellow went together perfectly for Easter and now I know that purple and green got together as well! Isn't it funny how we can go into a store for one thing and come out with an entirely different project in mind, and all of the "stuff" to put it together? Your fireplace decor complements your table so nicely and your view of the lake is lovely! The cutting board is a great foundation for your centerpiece of the scale and vase of tulips. All of your 'chocolate' bunnies are the perfect way to round out an Easter tablescape. I have appreciated all of your participation in the tablescape hops over the years, and I look forward to seeing what you are sharing in the future as I contemplate what direction I want to go with Celebrate & Decorate.

  9. Ann, this is beautiful and you used just the right amount of purple. The white cutting board under the vase is very different and a tulip centerpiece is always a good idea. Have a Happy and Peaceful Easter!

It's always fun hopping with you. Hope you have a lovely Easter with your family!

  15. Ann, I love all the purple in your Easter tablescape. I am so in love with the purple and white buffalo check napkins. Always was and will be my favorite. It is so charming with it paired up with the chocolate brown. I am sure glad you left Hobby Lobby with an arm full since this is such an adorable Easter tablescape. Your green scale balancing your two chocolate eggs and your white pitcher of purple tulips make up a centerpiece that immediately grabs your attention. Pair it with your gorgeous lakeside background and it really makes for a light, airy and spacious surroundings. It is cheerful and playful all in one. Happy Easter Ann.

  16. Ann, I love all the touches of purple. It's such a royal color, and combined with the chocolate strikes a perfect balance for a spring table.
I'm hoping that the tablescape hops can continue in some form down the road as well.
Going to keep positive thoughts on it!

  17. Love, love, love your purple and chocolate table. You should use purple more often. It looks great with the touches of green. It would probably look nice with yellow pops of color, too.

  19. Ann, I love the purple paired with green! Sometimes it's a good thing to veer out of your comfort zone and try something new. Your table is beautiful and just perfect for Easter. I love the chocolate bunnies, tulips and bird's nests. The white handled flatware and etched purple wine glasses give it some vintage charm. And the view of the lake is gorgeous!
