Stampin Dreams Blog Hop - January - Case A Card

Welcome to our January Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop - this month's theme is to
Case A Card.  I am Ann Krucek from the United States bringing you my version of a card I saw on Pinterest.
"Case" means copy and share everything - which is something I rarely do so I was a little nervous about doing copying someone else work.  It is important that when you do so, you give the original artist credit for their ideas and creativity.  So first things first - I have to give credit to Jenni Pauli from Pauline's Papier.  Jenni was on the Artisan Design Team for Stampin' Up! when she shared this card on her blog.
There was something soft and cute about this card that made me want to take a look to see how she had made it.  When I read her instructions, it seemed easier than when I had first imagined so I gave it a shot.  Here is my take on Jenni's whimsical card.
Since my new FREE Small Bloom Punch from Sale-A-Bration had just come in, I thought I would use that as some bigger flowers on the card.  The rest of the die cuts are from Wiggly Bugs Dies from the Annual Catalog.   This was a very easy card to make - it consists of two pieces of Whisper white card stock.  One colored with different Stampin Blends and the other with die cut pieces randomly cut as you can see in this photo:
I ran the die cut piece through the Subtle 3D embossing folder to give it just a little texture.  I added a few embellishments  - several of the Gingham Gala Adhesive Backed Sequins and a couple of Heart Epoxy Droplets colored with my Stampin Blends and even a few of the die cuts were added back in.  I also just added a few random dots with my Stampin Blends - keeping it all very simple to do.
I cut down the colored paper to just a hair smaller that the die cut paper and adhered the die cut piece to the colored piece using quite a few dimensionals.  Then I adhered that combination to a 4 1/4 X 5 1/2 " Whisper White cardstock card base. I cut the sentiment with the new Stitched So Sweetly Dies and adhered that with dimensionals as well.

My colors are a bit bolder and my flowers are a bit larger - but I am happy with the way it came out!  I hope you get a chance to try this because it was a pretty quick card and fun to do.

As I mentioned above - my Small Blooms Punch was FREE from the Sale-A-Bration event that is happening through March 31st.  This punch is free with a $100 purchase.  There are several items that you can receive free with a $50 purchase as well.  You can check out all of the details of this sale on the Sale-A-Bration tab on the right column on my blog.

Thanks so much for stopping by!!  On to the next blog to enjoy the hop!
