Celebrating Cinco de Mayo!

I always enjoy setting a Cinco de Mayo table because of the chance to play with so much color.
I have had several different Cinco de Mayo tables featuring peppers over the years!  So I decided on going with fruit this year.
My centerpiece consists of clay pots,  faux cactus,  faux flowers but honest to goodness real fruit!

After trying to stack up every colorful combination of plates, I finally decided to just use my Dollar Tree plates from years ago.
I found these napkins and place mats in the clearance section at Pier 1 a couple of years ago - I used these same place mats last year.
I know most Cinco de Mayo tables have margarita's on them - but we are kind of into tasting different beers right now.  We have had several new micro breweries pop up around us and we enjoy sampling all the craft beer.
Whether you are celebrating Cinco de Mayo or the Kentucky Derby this year -
it's going to be an eventful weekend.
I hope you get the chance to enjoy some of the fun!

Thanks for stopping by!

In the past few years my interests have grown from fabric to paper and now to dishes too! I just love prints, polkadots, plaids and paisleys- hence the blog name.

  1. I really enjoyed seeing all the fantastic colour and vibrant decor in your Cinco de Mayo tablescape! The faux cacti look wonderful alongside the real fruit - great idea for the centerpiece! We love trying craft beers too and love that you used those instead of margaritas.

  2. Ole Ann!! Love the bright colors and the cactus!! You have really captured the festive feel of Mexico!! Happy Cinco de Mayo!

  3. Oh, my goodness! Ann, this makes me want to go out to lunch for Mexican food. This table is full of festive fun and gorgeous colors. Cinco de Mayo is big here in Austin! Your photos are gorgeous! Thanks for stopping by Hyacinths with such a lovely compliment. You are such a dear! Likewise you have inspired and delighted me with your tables through the years.

  4. Gorgeous table! The more color, the better, I say.
And I have a set of those plates, along with the bowls, too.
So bright and festive, makes me smile when I see them.

  5. What a great table for Cinco de Mayo! I love the addition of the fresh fruit in bright colors in addition to the cactus! You have styled it perfectly!

  6. All the colors and the inspired centerpiece combined are so festive. A party is definitely going to happen here! I'm ready!
