Welcome to our Fall Tablescape Hop.
Even though we are just getting into the fall season, my fall table has a late-fall feel, with leaves falling and the crunch of leaves beneath your feet.
I am sure you will see all sorts of takes on a fall tablescape on our hop since our group is from all over the continent with different climates, growing seasons, and interests.

My table is full of fall textures and hues of Brown.
Fall is my favorite season; I just love the change of colors we get here in Ohio. I like the cooler days and nippy nights, football games, and the smell of pumpkin spice candles! Some of my favorite childhood memories were playing in the leaves with my sisters.
I used amber candles in my centerpiece; I wanted to give my table a bit of a fall evening by a fire ambiance!
I purchased these fall leaf plates at Target last year, where they found a place on my hutch, but this year they get to move up to the table and be featured!!

ReplyDeleteAnn, I love your table full of fall textures and hues of brown! Oh how I loved playing in the fall leaves and now enjoy watching my grandchildren doing the same. The overhead shot of your table is stunning with the browns and creamy whites resting on the warm wood of your table. The fall leaf plates are fun and unlike any I have seen before. The plate stack resting on the placemats is lovely. You found the perfect napkins for your tablesetting. The amber candlelight sets a charming feel over the entire setting. ReplyDeleteAnn, brown and cream never looked so good! I really do like this combination for early fall. When I was first married in 1977 I chose brown crystal and a lot of brown elements for the table top including the Temporware in the Merriment pattern. I still have both, and love using them in fall. The Target oak leaf pattern on the salad plates is really nice, and this year's matching napkins were a great find. Your table and hutch are quite handsome looking down the table in that final photo. Love your memories from fall in growing up in Ohio, much the same for us here in West Virginia, a little further south. Thanks for joining this hop and always bringing a delightful table in the mix. ReplyDeleteWell Ann, you are quite the clever girl...I don't see a big difference in the wheat plates and a thought entered my mind...yes, once in a while I think! LOL...but could the two missing plates be on a shelf in your hutch? BTW, I really love your table colors. The creams and browns are gorgeous together. The Amish vases adorable and perhaps you can find what you are looking for on Amazon. I know I look and look and many times, I won't see what I want...and then I wait a few days and look again and its there.(something about certain algorithms.) I love the overhead shot of your table...so warm and cozy. I also played in the leaves in the Midwest, but here in Florida? The only thing we do with palm fronds and banana leaves is use them for roasting pigs in a pit. LOL. Kids have the sand at the beaches so that will have to do. Kari @ Me and My Captain

ReplyDeleteAnn, your table and hutch are inspiring me to do something different in my dinning room hutch. I often add in a few seasonal touches, but perhaps a complete restyle would be fun. Your plate stack is the perfect fall offering with the wood chargers, brown checked plates, wheat embossed dinners, and topped with the leaf plates. Love the centerpiece with the raised floral arrangements and candle. This entire table oozes fall inspiration!

Those leaf plates from Target are such a lovely addition and really do feel like autumn on the table. I wish we still had a Target store here in Canada! The amber candlelight gives the whole table that cozy, fall-by-the-fire feeling. And your brown floral vases are lovely centrepieces!
ReplyDeleteThis lovely, neutral table setting really works to evoke that fall feel. The neutrals create a wonderful ambiance for the whole table. I especially liked the leaf plates and their organic design. The overhead shot of your table really allows the viewer to see how well all the elements work together to create the mood. Pulling in texture with the placemats and the napkins works really well with the underlying wood table. The centerpieces are the beautiful finishing touch.

Ann, your table is just perfect for welcoming fall! I absolutely adore browns and creams together and it's one of my favorite color combinations. The leaf plates are darling on the pretty wheat plates and the brown and white checked plates are gorgeous on the charger stack. The cross-stitch napkins coordinate beautifully and the color of the glasses is so rich and warm. The pine cone candle holders and candle is so cute and the vases with neutral stems make a lovely centerpiece. Love your flatware and the hutch looks fabulous. I can relate to missing plates having moved myself a couple of years ago. If you know who made the plates, Replacements might have them - you never know. It was great hopping with you and I hope you have a wonderful fall season!

Today was the first actually chilly day of fall this year for me, and your table is just perfect! You totally succeeded with the fire ambiance – I feel cozy just looking at it. Love the burgundy colored candles too. Thanks for the fall inspiration. I really want to try that soft brown and cream now! Always so nice hopping with you. Happy Fall!
ReplyDeleteAnn, the patterns and textures of your tableware are highlighted by the mix of cream, beige, tan and brown shades across the table and onto the hutch. I love the botanic accents on the plates and napkins, and especially on those lovely Amish vases! Elevating them and the candles on the wooden riser was a great idea to give them even more prominence. Fall evenings around your table will be so relaxing. Happy September!
