Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop - Technique Challenge - Paper Piecing

Here are some fun Birthday cards made with the Bright & Beautiful 6X6 DSP.

These are for the Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop where the theme this month is a Technique Challenge of Paper Piecing.  We are to show off how we use our DSP!
Since this hop was to challenge us to use different pieces of Designer Series paper together on a card - I went to my pack of Bright & Beautiful 6X6 DSP.  This pack has so many cute coordinating patterns that made this a pretty easy challenge.  All of the patterned paper you see in these cards are from that same pack of Bright & Beautiful DSP.

When I looked at the Azure Afternoon patterned piece I immediately thought of water, that led me to the sail boat punch and the multicolored wavy line piece for my background.  The little colored flags going down the side of the boat are actually just the dark portion of each of the ombre pages in this pack.
The sentiment is from the Something Fancy stamp set and cut out with one of the dies in the Crackers & Treat Box Dies.

Once I was flipping through all of my paper choices in this paper pack - I decided I wanted to do a pink card and I loved the way this one turned out so I thought I would share both cards with you today.

The base of the card is Bubble Bath cardstock and the mat pieces are Berry Burst cardstock.
The rest of the patterned pieces are all from the Bright and Beautiful DSP pack.
I stamped out a cupcake from the Circle Sayings stamp set, colored it with my Stampin' Blends, fussy cut it out and adhered it to the card with Dimensionals.  I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment from the Circle Sayings stamp, as well, using Berry Burst ink.  The circle is cut from the inside of the embroidery hoop with the Crafting with you Bundle and the sentiment on the circle is from the Hello Lady Bug stamp set.

I hope this inspires you to use your Designer Series Paper in some fun ways!

Let's see what the other creative card makers have come up with!!

In the past few years my interests have grown from fabric to paper and now to dishes too! I just love prints, polkadots, plaids and paisleys- hence the blog name.
