Fitting Florets Blog Hop - Birthday Card

Welcome!  I am showing a card today made with the Fitting Florets Bundle that is a brand new offering for November with Stampin' Up!

I am joining in on a Blog Hop dedicated to this new product bundle!

You will be able to see many ideas for beautiful projects with this new bundle by visiting all the blogs taking part in the hop today!  The links will be at the end of my post.

I think what drew me to this beautiful bundle were the oval dies that are included in this bundle. There are several different decorative oval frames that can be used together or separate for some gorgeous creations!

The pretty Fitting Florets DSP has some versatility to it as some of the designs are leaning towards holiday cards and the opposite side more for everyday cards.  I chose to do a Birthday card with one of the DSP papers that coordinates with the die to cut out these wonderful bouquets.

  • I started with a Basic White Card Base
  • Next is a 4 X 5 1/4" layer run through the Gingham Embossing Folder
  • The band of patterned paper is 1" x 4 1/8" from the Fitting Florets DSP
  • The oval is die cut with Polished Pink Cardstock
  • another oval is cut from Basic White card stock to fill in the middle of the decorative pink oval
  • The white oval is stamped in Polished Pink with the sentiment from Framed Florets stamp set
  • leaves are stamped with Evening Evergreen ink on Soft Succulent Cardstock and die cut
  • the flowers from the Fitting Florets DSP coordinate with the Framed Floret Dies are cut and popped up with dimensionals.
  • Three gems from the Elegant Faceted Gems finish it off!

This card is not overly complicated and fun to put together!!
Now let's move on and see what everyone else had done - It will be fun to see how others have used the other dies and stamps that come with this set that I didn't even show you.

In the past few years my interests have grown from fabric to paper and now to dishes too! I just love prints, polkadots, plaids and paisleys- hence the blog name.
