Tulip Fields - Kre8tors Blog Hop - March Sketch Challenge

Welcome to my creative corner where spring is really making a show today!

I am joining the Kre8tors Blog Hop for March.

This month's theme was a sketch challenge - Here is the layout we were to use - or something close to it:

I used the beautiful Flowering Fields DSP and the Tulip Fields Bundle to create this colorful spring card.

The colors in this pack of DSP are so vibrant and fun, sure to put anyone in the spring mood.  When I saw that the majority of this layout was a piece of 3 1/2"X 3 1/2" paper - I new I wanted it to be a striking piece of DSP, and these tulip fields are just that!

My circle is a bit bigger than the layout - but I wanted to fit the small windmill that is in this set inside my circle - so it had to be a skosh bigger. I used the New Horizons 6"x6" DSP for the background of my stamped windmill.  The little fence piece acts as my 1/2" X 1 1/2" piece - which is just about right.   I chose not to put a sentiment on the outside since the scene was so bright and cheerful,  I didn't want to take anything away from it.

I hope you enjoyed my take on the sketch - now on to see how the other talented card makers interpreted this same layout.

Next up is Jacqui Lawrence!!

In the past few years my interests have grown from fabric to paper and now to dishes too! I just love prints, polkadots, plaids and paisleys- hence the blog name.
