Garden Greenhouse Slimline Card for OSAT Blog Hop

Good Morning Friends!  Welcome to Corner of Plaid and Paisley for a fun blog hop with the One Stamp at a Time Group.  Today's theme is Slim Shady, where we are showing off slimline cards.

I chose the Garden Greenhouse Bundle for my slimline card and 3D project - a little gift box for seeds!

You will find all the links to the other talent card maker's offerings at the end of my post.

They are sharing many great card and 3D projects with you!

Since Stampin' Up! is now offering slimline envelopes, we thought we would give you some ideas on what to fill those envelopes with,

Our Slimline Envelopes are 3 7/8" X 8 7/8"- so I like to make my card size just a bit smaller so that they can be taken in and out of the envelope easily.  My card measures 3 3/4" X 8 1/2".  This is a fun size because it gives you a little more room for designing.

I started with a Evening Evergreen Base, a Fresh Freesia layer that is textured with the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder, and then a Soft Succulent layer that was textured with the Stitched Greenery Die.
Since these are longer pieces - I did have to run each of them through twice to get both ends of the paper.
Also, I ran the Soft Succulent layer through the Cut and Emboss Machine a third time with just the plates to soften the design just a bit.
My greenhouse has a layer of vellum behind the Evening Evergreen die cut.  The pots are from the Welcoming Window Bundle stamped in Cinnamon Cider ink.   The plants are a from a variety of our sets - mostly the Plentiful Plants Bundle and the Garden Greenhouse Bundle. The sentiment is embossed with white embossing powder. I finished it off with a cute little bow with the Evening Evergreen Windowpane check ribbon.
I used the beautiful layered stamp from the Garden Greenhouse set to embellish the inside  and the envelope using Soft Succulent and Fresh Freesia Ink.  The Happy Birthday sentiment is from a Sale a-bration set -Special Moments  - which you can get for free with a $100 purchase for the remainder of this month.

My 3D project is a little gift box for seed packets.   It is made by cutting one of our Acetate Card Boxes in half.  I made a vellum flap that inserts down the back- then up and over the top of the box and over the front.

I added a strip of cardstock across the bottom back of the acetate box to help adhere the ribbon, same with the front corners of the vellum - I just added a small square over the top of the ribbon ends.

I just embellished the front with the greenhouse and more plants!  I tucked some seed packets in the acetate pocket, flipped my vellum flap back over and tied the ribbons.

Since it has been snowing here for the last two weeks - I am having to do my gardening this way for for a couple more months!  I hope you enjoyed my projects.

Here are all the links to the many talented card makers taking part in today's hop!
Please, take a look at what they are sharing and show them some love!

In the past few years my interests have grown from fabric to paper and now to dishes too! I just love prints, polkadots, plaids and paisleys- hence the blog name.

  1. The magic of words lies in their ability to weave invisible bridges between minds, turning strangers into kindred spirits across the digital expanse. Every sentence is a tiny universe waiting to be explored, and here, the adventure feels endless. Whether you stumbled upon this corner of the web by chance or design, I hope it sparks something unexpected—a thought, a smile, or even a quiet "aha." After all, the best moments often come unannounced, like fireflies in a summer night. ✨ Keep wandering, wondering, and writing your own story—one word at a time. darknet marketplace
