Christmas in July - Part 2 of 3 Gingerbread & Peppermint

Welcome back for more Christmas in July!!  I must have Christmas cookies on the brain!

This is a sneak peak at some of the new Christmas products being offered starting August 3rd.

I can't stop making Christmas cards with yummies as the theme!

These cards are made from the new Gingerbread & Peppermint 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper.
This is such a fun pack to mix and match, the possibilities are endless!

The first card uses the new Frosted Gingerbread Bundle, the Scalloped Contours Dies along with a scalloped square die from the Layering Square dies.
  • Basic Card Base - Cinnamon Cider Cardstock 8 1/2" X 5 1/2" scored at 4 1/4" and folded in half
  • The largest of the Scalloped Contours Dies in Basic White Cardstock
  •  One of the cute prints from the Gingerbread & Peppermint DSP pack - cut to  3 1/2" X 4 3/4"
  • I added a strip of White Glittered Organdy Ribbon across the base of the DSP before I adhered it
  • A Basic White Cardstock scalloped square from the Layering Square Dies
  • The gingerbread snowflake cut with the Gingerbread Dies and popped up with Dimensionals
  • The sentiment is done with White Embossing powder and just cut to approx. 2 3/8" X 5/8"
  • I added a bow with the same white glittery ribbon using a glue dot
  • I brushed the cookie snow flake with Wink of Stella to give it a shimmery look

This next card uses the same Gingerbread & Peppermint DSP pack where I mixed and matched all of the fun patterns!
  • Card base is Basic Red Cardstock 8 1/2" X 5 1/2" scored at 4 1/4" and folded in half
  • Cut 1 1/4" X 5 1/2" strip off of the front of the card base down the right side
  • Plaid DSP Layer on front is 2 3/4"  X 5 1/4"
  • Polk- a-dot DSP layer on inside back is 1 1/4" X 5 1/4"
  • Scalloped rectangle in Basic White is from the Scalloped Contour Dies
  • the stripe DSP is 2 3/4" X 4"
  • Just make sure you do not put glue on the side of the back of the white rectangle that hangs over your card base!!
  • Cookies and Peppermints are cut from the DSP with the Gingerbread Dies- I popped put the cookies with Dimensionals
  • The sentiment is from the new Classic Cloche stamp set done with White Embossing Powder on Basic Red card stock and I clipped the ends for a banner look

This last card uses the Jar Punch and Mason Jar Shaker Domes that are in the Annual Catalog and the same pack of Gingerbread & Peppermint DSP pack to make a cute shaker card.
  • Card base is Basic Red Cardstock 8 1/2" X 5 1/2" scored at 4 1/4" and folded in half
  • the diagonal stripe DSP is 4" x 5 1/4"
  • The back of my jar is a piece of Smokey Slate cardstock approx 2" X 3" stamped with the jar from the Jar of Flowers stamp set with black ink.
  • I cut 5 small and 4 medium white base and red peppermint swirls from cardstock with the Gingerbread dies and glued the pieces together to make my peppermints.
  •  I glued 3 down to the stamped jar and left the rest loose - piling them up in the middle of the jar while I pealed of the layer to expose the tape on the Mason Jar Shaker Dome - then stuck the dome over the top of all of the peppermints- lining up the edges of the dome with the stamped image of the jar.
  • I added a piece of the red stitched ribbon from Playful Pets Trim Combo Pack across the rim of the jar  -The shaker dome has a sticky layer on the top side as well - so I pulled off the layer to expose the sticky -and stuck it down.
  • The peppermint swirled DSP is cut from the Scalloped Contour Dies then punched with the Jar Punc   and placed the DSP over and around the jar - hiding all of the grey around the edges - You may need to trim those back before you stick your DSP down for good.
  • The sentiment is cut from Basic Red with the Ornate Frames Die and embossed with White Embossing Powder and popped it up with Dimensionals.
  • I tied a bow with the ribbon and attached it with a glue dot onto the ribbon going around the jar top

I hope you enjoyed getting a peak at the new Gingerbread and Peppermint products !  I think these cards would be perfect to go with a tray of cookies for the neighbors, your hair stylist or  UPS delivery person!!
