Welcome to Corner of Plaid and Paisley, my name is Ann.  I am a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator from Malvern, Ohio, USA.  We are all ready to celebrate Valentine's Day this weekend!

Today I am participating in the Stamping INKspirations Blog Hop.

The theme of today's hop is Love is in the Air. There are 37 stamping enthusiasts ready to share their projects with you today!!  The list of those talented stampers are at the end of my post.

My Valentine Card is pretty simple, made from all die cuts.  I did this for my class since we are still not meeting in person, I was able to mail this to my fun group of ladies.
It uses the Always Dies and the Many Hearts Dies, along with the Saleabration Oh So Ombre Paper and the Love You Always Foil Sheets.
The treat box is made by cutting an Acetate Card Box in half - I do this with a very large guillotine cutter.  I cut a square of Sahara Sand card stock -  4" x 4"  and then layered it with a square of Rocco Rose 3 3/4" x 3 3/4"  - BUT before I adhere the two squares together I added two pieces of Blushing Bride Metallic Ribbon ribbon to between the layers to two opposite corners.  I turned the square at a diagonal and scored 3/8" from either side of the center so that there is a 3/4" wide strip down the middle with will become the top of the box.  I trimmed of the points of the corners so that they don't hang over the edge of my box.
By tucking the back of my top into the inside of the clear box, I was able to pull the ribbon through the flap in the back of the box and around to the front of the box .  The front point goes on the outside of the box and now the two ribbons can tie the box closed.  I cut a floral heart with the Many Heart Dies out of one of the Love you Always Foil Sheets and adhered it to the front.  It was nice that 6 of the Ghirardelli  Chocolates I had on my Valentine Table fit in there perfectly - even the right color!

In the past few years my interests have grown from fabric to paper and now to dishes too! I just love prints, polkadots, plaids and paisleys- hence the blog name.
