Bows and Bowties Postage Stamp Birthday Cards

Welcome to Corner of Plaid and Paisley!  I am Ann Krucek, and I am showing off my bowties and bows for the Stamping INKspirations Blog Hop today!

The theme for our Stamping Inkspiration Blog Hop this month is anything new!
I chose the new Well Suited Suite found on page 66 of the new Mini Catalog to work with.
I used the bow tie stamp and die, along with the Rectangular Postage Stamp Punch from the Annual Catalog.
I was drawn to the fabulous masculine papers in the Well Suited DSP pack.  Since all three of our kids (and most of our money!) went to The Ohio State University - the greys in this paper pack yelled OSU to me!! Especially because they are playing in the National Championship Football Game on Monday, we are a bit hyped up here in Ohio!!  And you have to know that with a blog name of Corner of Plaid and Paisley - that grey paisley paper is an all time favorite for me!!

I wanted to make a feminine version of the card as well,
this time using the Sale-A-Bration Paper Blooms Designer Series Paper.
I liked mixing the pink polka dot bows with this striped and flowered DSP - and of course a little rows of scallops (from Budding Blooms Die set) down the side for a cute little girl birthday card!

Ok!!!  Now time  to move on and see what everyone else in the Stamping Inkspirations Hop has created!!  Next up is Susan Webster!!
The list of all the bloggers is below just in case you get lost along the way!!

Thanks so much to Angie McKenzie for organizing this hop!  I hope you enjoyed my cards.  Please let me know if you have any questions!

You can view the new catalogs in PDF form if you click on the photo on my side column!!

In the past few years my interests have grown from fabric to paper and now to dishes too! I just love prints, polkadots, plaids and paisleys- hence the blog name.

  9. Love how you mixed the different patterns together. The colors are great and now I am a fan of the grays and red together. I also think the name of your blog is fabulous!
