Dog Days of Fall - A Fun Fall Table

Welcome to my fall table full of K9 fun!
This table is part of Chloe Crabtree from Celebrate & Decorate's  Fall Tablescape Blog Hop.
At the end of this post will be the links to all the other talented table stylists with their inspiration for this fall season.  Be sure to click on the other links and follow along for lots of autumn goodness!
Mums, cornstalks, leaves, apples,  pumpkins and ornamental cabbage are some of my fall favorites!
But who can resist a few dogs in sweaters and plaid shirts thrown in with the autumn mix?!
I haven't been out much in the last 7 or 8 months, but I did travel over to my daughter's house to see my brand new little grandson, Quinn!!  There just happens to be a Hobby Lobby smack in the middle of the road trip to her house, and that is where I picked up these fun fall plates
I find shopping not to be fun these days - so the rest was stuff I had and a few goodies from the grocery store for my centerpiece.  I think the mum is a bit large for my table- but hey, I didn't want to cut it back!
I made some little doggie favors with my Stampin' Up! Autumn Goodness wheelbarrow die and the doggies from the Pampered Pets Designer Series paper.
My Lucy wanted to get in on the act - but she wasn't particularly fond of the bow.
I honestly give Mary from Home is Where the Boat Is and her pups a lot of credit because they make photo sessions look easy!!  And it is not for me and Lucy!!
She is half St. Bernard and half Golden Retriever (although she looks more like a Newfoundland) and when she doesn't want to do something- she just lays down.  Then there is no moving this big dog once she lays down!  But she loves the cooler weather that fall brings and she sure brightens our days with her antics.

In the past few years my interests have grown from fabric to paper and now to dishes too! I just love prints, polkadots, plaids and paisleys- hence the blog name.

  10. Those are the cutest plates and your Lucy looks so patient too. My dog is a Lucy also. I don't have a hobby lobby near me but I will be on the lookout for those plates. I'm glad that you joined the hop. I think the plates were a hit.

  11. Ann, first of all, congratulations to your family on the addition of Quinn (love his name!). I know it had to be scary for your daughter to birth him during the pandemic.

Those plates are truly adorable! Even being able to go to HL, I'm surprised they actually had the stock for you (they sell out so quickly!). Those pups have really cute faces and fall gear, and the way you've paired them with your table linens really gives off a fall vibe of outdoor apple-picking, leaf-tossing fun. Lucy cracks me up with that look she's giving you....you do know she's stealing the show, right?? Your stamping up place cards are adorable too. You always do such a great job of finishing off your table with small details, and this one's consistently well done. Happy September, and enjoy your grandson!

  13. Doggies in sweaters, yes!! Lucy looks like she has made up her mind not to budge and she is adorable. I love the mum centerpiece and all the fall touches you've added. I'm slowly venturing to places other than the grocery store, but I'm still a bit hesitant. This table is so light hearted and fun, thanks for sharing.

  14. Hi Ann, Your work always brings me such smiles since your tablescapes have elements of playfulness and whimsy to them. I enjoyed this Fall tablescape so much because of your use of the doggie plates that are sweet and comical. Your use of your doggie favor, plaid, apples in bushel baskets and burlap are so endearing. Your striped napkin bows and blue trimmed napkins spell contrasting lovable charm. It is a tablescape from an adorable child's storybook. It is always a pleasure to blog hop with you. All the best......
