Thanksgiving Tablescape, Gather Together

I truly have a lot to be thankful for as we come upon this Thanksgiving holiday.
I am joining a wonderful group of table stylist for a Thanksgiving Tablescape Hop this week.  Chloe Crabtree, from Celebrate & Decorate, has gathered 24 talented women together to show off our versions of a Thanksgiving Table.  I hope you enjoy taking a peek at all the tables, the links will be at the end of my post and will be updated throughout the week.

We will not be having our family Thanksgiving feast at our house,
That is one thing I am thankful for!!!  I don't have to do all of the cooking and cleaning!
We will be celebrating at my sister's house.
So I just set a small table for us to enjoy.
This is a bit of a departure from my usual pattern ridden tables.  I opted for something a bit simpler for Thanksgiving.
But did you notice - I still managed to get just a tiny
bit of plaid in on this one?
I had a hard time with the lighting on this table - it wasn't the brightest day outside, plus now the daylight hours are so short. But on the flip side - Hallmark movies are in full swing!
I am addicted to them - yes, I play the Hallmark fantasy game!!   Everyone else in my family is talking football.  I enjoy my fantasy Hallmark league much better than my fantasy football team.
As promised - here are the links to all of the other bloggers participating in the hop this week.

In the past few years my interests have grown from fabric to paper and now to dishes too! I just love prints, polkadots, plaids and paisleys- hence the blog name.

  1. Ann, I love your pretty neutral version of Thanksgiving! Your wheat plates are perfect framed with your chargers and serving up your bread bundles on the wood boards! I love your delicate etched goblets paired with your floral material that's mixed with the leaves and pumpkins in your centerpiece. So happy to join you at the table and blog hop with you this week. ♥

  2. Ann, I love keepin' it real, and I am virtually high fivin' you on NOT having to cook the Thanksgiving dinner and joining in on the Hallmark fantasy league! That said, I would love a Friendsgiving at a table like you've set, and I'll even bring a dish. ;) All kidding aside (not kidding, really), your plates are pretty, and I think your placemats match the vintage napkins I used in my table (what's old is new again, of course). Love your napkins (and the Dutch Valley barn in Sugar Creek, yes!), and your centerpiece is handsome. I always enjoy table designs at the Corner of Plaid and Paisley, and am happy to be in your company on this circuit!

  4. Hi Ann, I’ve been having trouble commenting so forgive me if several attempts come through! I have to tell you that I always look forward to your tables and this one is one of my favorites! I love the simple yet elegant feel you’ve created with the white palette, sparkly glassware and humble bread board…the roll wrapped with a bow and tied with one of your special handmade tags is such a special touch! Your centerpiece is really pretty too, and the wheat rimmed plates are so unique. It all looks so beautiful! Have fun at your sister’s house, we will be going to the beach and having a very casual Thanksgiving, so that will be easy on me!

  6. Ann, I absolutely love your neutral table that's still so rich with details! As gorgeous as the centerpiece is, the place settings with the wheat plates, little wood servers and small loaf of bread is magazine worthy! I'm cooking for 16-20 this year and setting three tables to seat everyone --- and I can't wait! Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday because its about family, traditions and is non-commercial. We've been out of town the last two years and I'm more than ready to host. But, I do enjoy every other Thanksgiving being a guest and worker bee, while embracing other's traditions.

  7. Ann, your table is the perfect example of Thanksgiving. The neutral colors, wheat plates, wrapped bread with a sprig of wheat on wood and your "oh so thankful" napkins. I love your delicate stemware too. It is definitely a tablescape that would make a lovely framed picture too or should be a cover photo of a magazine. With each blog hop, I look forward to seeing your work. It is always such a pleasure to blog hop with you. Many more blessings to you and your family and have a pleasant Thanksgiving holiday at your sisters.
