Spooktacular Fun! Getting ready for Halloween!!

Yep!  That's right I have started on some Halloween fun.
Here is a little preview of just one of the Halloween sets in the new Holiday Catalog coming out soon, on September 4th.
When you see this new Monster Bash Suite, you will want to start working on Halloween too!
The Designer Series paper is so cute!!
Combine the paper with the new Ornate Frames Dies and the Spooktacular Bash Stamp Set and you have a lot of creative, creepy fun for the spooky season.
The first card is a spooky, ornate Haunted house!
I used quite a few different die sets to make this.
  • The base is Gorgeous Grape standard A2 size -Scored and folded to a 4 1/4" X 5 1/5" card
  • The black and white pattern paper is from the Monster Bash DSP - 3 3/4"x 5 " and I distressed this with some Crumb Cake ink.
  • The Gorgeous Grape band is  1" X 5" run through the Stylish Scroll Embossing Folder that comes in the Monster Bash Suite.
  • Using the Heirloom Frames Dies & 3D embossing folders I made the black frame and adhered      it with very thin lines of liquid glue.
  • The haunted house was cut with a new holiday catalog item - Beautiful Boughs Dies, it has those little points sticking out the middle of the rectangle - I distressed the edges of this piece with some Crumb Cake ink.
  • I then cut two of the scrolly Ornate Frames dies in Sahara Sand and adhered them to the back of the haunted house piece. Then on to the black Heirloom Frame
  • 4 Basic Grey enamel dots went on the points sticking out and a double bow tied from Scalloped Lace Trim went in the corner.
Supply List:

Just a little fun with my Rae Dunn Halloween Mugs

Aren't these little monsters cute?
There are plenty of monster to choose from in the adorable pack of DSP.

If you purchase the Spooktacular Bash Bundle  -that is the Spooktacular Bash Stamp set and the Ornate Frame Dies together you save 10%!
  • My Ghoul Friends card starts with a basic A2 card base scored and folded to  a 4 1/4" X 5 1/5" card in Pumpkin Pie Card Stock
  • The bottom layer is Gorgeous Grape  1"X 5"  run through the the Stylish Scroll Embossing Folder.  I brushed a little of Whisper White ink on it with a sponge to give it a bit of dustiness to it.
  • The top yellow piece is from the Monster Bash DSP pack cut to   XXX  I distressed that a bit using Crumb Cake ink and a sponge.
  •  I  ran the new black scalloped edge ribbon across the seam of the purple and yellow pieces,          wrapping the ends around the back before adhering everything down to the card base. Two tiny frames are cut with the Ornate Frames Dies as well as the frame with the cute little mummy and the scrolly frame around the sentiment - all out of Basic Black.
  • I chose my favorite monsters out of the DSP and just cut them out so that they would fit into the small frames and adhered them with very thin lines of liquid glue.Stamped the sentiment on Pumpkin Pie card stock with black ink and cut it out with the Ornate Frame Dies as well, adhered to the black scrolly frame and pop up with dimensionals.
  • Then I cut two frames the same size to fit around the outside - using two of the stitched rectangle dies nested inside each other.   I layered these two pieces on top of each other using liquid glue to first glue them together to make the frame a bit thicker and then to the card.
  • I made a double bow with the black scalloped ribbon and adhered it with a glue dot.
