Happy Fourth of July!

Happy Fourth of July!
We are ready to celebrate Independence Day this weekend.
We have the table adorned with red, white and blue.
The flags and sparklers are ready.
I added a little fireworks inspired flair to the napkin rings and a little ribbon to the lanterns.

I attached all of the ribbon to the jars holding the sparklers and the lanterns - plus the paper embellishments to the napkin rings with removable glue dots.  This way the stars and stripes can be removed easily and the items can be used for another occasion.  Warning - it did take quire a few dots to get everything stuck down and I am not sure if they would hold in extreme heat.  We have been having some cooler, rainy weather here in Ohio.
So rainy that I have twice tried to do a table setting outside - got it all set up, then the clouds rolled in  fast and had to take everything in before I got any photos!
Hopefully all the rain came in the last two weeks and we will have a nice sunny weekend to celebrate our wonderful Nation's birthday.
I hope you have a fabulous fourth!

In the past few years my interests have grown from fabric to paper and now to dishes too! I just love prints, polkadots, plaids and paisleys- hence the blog name.

  1. beautiful and festive! I love it! Love those polka dotted glasses! I think youre going to get beautiful weather this weekend. we are too! woohoo! we deserve it dont we? after all this crappy rain we've had!
    have a great weekend

  2. Happy 4th Anne! Your festive table is fabulous in red white and blue! Hooray for the USA!

  3. Looks wonderfully patriotic! If I lived in the States, I'd definitely want to celebrate at this table. The little touches like the ribbon on the lanterns and the cute napkin ring embellishments are terrific. Never tried "glue dots" but I will now! Thanks for the tip! Have a great 4th!

  4. You are ready! It's fun to see your table all festive for the 4th. I'd love to be a guest enjoying the 4th of July in your back yard rain or shine. '-)
    Happy 4th of July!
