Getting Ready for the Ohio State Championship Game!

I have been absent from blogging for the last couple months due to a very busy work schedule - but I could not let an opportunity like Ohio State making it to the College Football Playoff championship game go by without a post!!

Now I do have to clarify that I did not attend The Ohio State University, however, all three of our children did- along with a good share of our money.  So I feel I have the right to claim my stake of being a vested Buckeye Fan.
Brutus serves as the center stage ruling over the table claiming our Number 1 status, although it looks as if he is telling our guests only one chocolate buckeye apiece, please!
To say we are nuts about our Buckeye's this year is an understatement!

What other team has over come such adversity as loosing two of their star quarterbacks and still make it to the championship team with their third quarterback?!
This is a real testimony to the phrase "it takes a team".

I tried to add a little urban industrial feel to the table in honor of Coach Urban Meyer!

So good luck to our Buckeyes as they play in the big game Monday night!  We will be raising our glasses to you and wish you all a good game, may it be fair, injury free, and fought hard.
Safe travels to all of our friends who made the trip to Texas, We wish we could be there.  Have fun and represent Ohio well.

Go Bucks!
O-H

In the past few years my interests have grown from fabric to paper and now to dishes too! I just love prints, polkadots, plaids and paisleys- hence the blog name.

  1. Awesome table, Ann! My brother/sister-in-law are rooting for them...they live in Hilliard. I have always like red/grey/white combination, reminds me a wool plaid skirt I had in high school.
    Have a great week.

  2. I don't know much about football or this team (being in Canada) but it looks like you did them proud! Wonderful dishes and accessories on your table that fit your theme. Loving the stack of red and grey plates with the cardinal sitting on top! Great metal container for your snacks! Go Team!

  3. Ann! I feel so alone - everywhere I look in the blogging world today, I see OSU. I guess I should get over my team's (Alabama) loss to you, but it is hard...sniff, sniff! Hahaha - I really am O.K. and I love your table decorations. You are in the right spirit and I wish I had one of those Buckeyes right now! Seriously, good luck tonight!!

  4. Such a cute table! I think you've done your team proud, especially after losing valuable team members and still making it to the playoffs!
We're strickly a west coast family but we've been making homemade buckeye chocolates for years! YUM!! A bit jealous that you can purchase them already made.
    Good luck!
