St. Patrick's Day Mantle

Even though we have had a very mild winter this year, I am anxious for Spring.  I have started a bit of Spring with my St. Patrick's Day Mantle.  I detest the usual tacky plastic kelly green decorations that are for sale  at most of the stores.  But I love lush green that reminds me of new grass and new growth in the garden which became my inspiration.

My favorite new item is the leaping moss bunny that I bought at Pier 1 for $2.69!
I added some yarn and shamrocks to my candle holders.  I used that same yarn, some burlap and fabric to make the garland.   Those green mercury glass vases were in the clearance section at Joann Fabrics last year, I couldn't pass them up, one of my better finds!

Here's hoping you have a Happy St. Patrick's Day!

In the past few years my interests have grown from fabric to paper and now to dishes too! I just love prints, polkadots, plaids and paisleys- hence the blog name.

  1. A Happy St Patty's day to you and thanks for sharing all your ideas. It inspires me!!!

  2. I know this comment is a bit late, but I love your leaping green moss bunny! I have the same one from Pier One, but I purchased mine a few years ago. I really like your blog and am a new follower.
